Love is Shown by the Sharing of Truth

I encounter this all the time, those that believe you are harsh if you speak the truth of the gospel openly. They have been taught that we must be nice to people first and then if "the opportunity arises", we can speak the gospel, but the opportunity really never comes because the fear of being disliked and the shame over the gospel overtakes these people, the very reason they use "lifestyle evangelism" as their excuse to never share the gospel, warning people of the judgment while sharing the good news about avoiding the judgment.

So what is the truth about these methods, they are selfish, based on getting people to like US, more than snatching people from the fires of hell.

They love their idea of "lifestyle evangelism" because it teaches them to just be friendly and then people will like you and because they like you they will like Jesus.

The sad truth is that "just being friendly" without the gospel spoken only serves to solidify the hearers sinfulness, validating them just as they are, without challenge to be anything different.

2 Timothy 4:2 "2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction."

Romans 10:17
"17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Isaiah 26:10 "10 Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the LORD."

All of God's prophets were hated, they spoke boldly and were rejected. This is because mankind is hell bent on their stubborn ways, they do not want to be accountable to anyone, let alone to a God they cannot see.

Jeremiah 7:27-28 "27"You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you. 28"You shall say to them, 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.…"

This is where we are in America today, just as Jeremiah described in his day. Even "Christians" refuse to be accountable to one another, a demonstration of their view of God. They have no shame over their sinful rebellion, the way they treat us when we tell the truth, is their view of God, no shame, no sadness over their sinfulness and no intentions of hearing truth unless it enhances or elevates them.

2 Timothy 3 describes the condition of the apostate church today. Everyone who has spiritual eyes can see this rebellion within the church gatherings. Their doctrine is false, filled with good sounding lies that violate more scripture than it obeys.

John 14:15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

Luke 6:46
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?"

James 1:22
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."

The modern apostate church are full of gossipers and liars, desiring to be considered special they rage against anyone who will tell them they are in sin or perhaps even in need of salvation.

The lack of shame over bad behavior is overwhelming in today's gatherings, one can sense a spirit of rebellion when we enter these places.

The demonic forces are at work constantly whispering in the minds of people, to cause division and rebellion.

Proverbs 17:11, "An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him."

1 Samuel 15:23
"For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”

Matthew 5:19
"Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
