Bold as a Lion and Gentle as a Dove

Christians must learn to be more bold!!!! We can tell the truth without anger but we must tell the truth. We lose friends when we do this but how can we call someone a friend who hates us because we love God? Just staying!

Ephesians 4:25 "Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another."

There was a question asked once, "am I my brother's keeper?" The answer is simple, we are responsible for our influence over others. If we withhold truth from our neighbor then we are going to be held responsible for not telling the truth to them.

It is a form of lying to ones friend or neighbor when we withhold needed information about God and His Word.

Proverbs 12:22
"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight."

Ephesians 4:15
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,"

It is love to speak the truth and it is not love to withhold it. Don't worry about the delivery, Christ will give us that, just speak and leave the response to God. The response is not our business, it merely reveals the heart of the hearer.

If there is anger that emerges from the truth we have told then we have met the face of an angry person.

Humble and kind people do not rage or become angry even when they are corrected, only people who are angry and prideful do this.

Zechariah 8:16
"These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;"

It is truth not silence that produces peace . If peace does not come from speaking truth then it is the hearer who is warlike in their spirit and refuses to listen to resolve problems in honesty.

Proverbs 28:13
"Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy."

  2. Hi Unknown, the best way to maintain joy is to stop struggling and begin focusing entirely on the promises of God. He goes through everything with born again believers, they are never alone in whatever life brings. May you rest in Him by reading His word and believing what He says.
