What Are The Rules

Many people are attempting to preserve a nation that has rejected and mocked God. God has told me to stop praying some years ago for the preservation of this nation. I pray for individuals to become born again realizing that perhaps the only way they will become saved is if all their idols come down, their political idols, their pleasures, and their worship of freedom.

My heart grieves watching all the people who say they are Christians deeply concerned about the politics nearly to the exclusion of the righteousness of Christ. They add Christ to make their political and social desires seem spiritual but the bent to be more political than Christ-like has overtaken them. The unsaved world is watching them bite and devour one another over a political entity, who they think reflects their ideology but really does not at close inspection.

I worry about the witness of born again believers when they are running around frightened and angry that their candidate has not won or that they have somehow been maligned because things did not go their way. The unsaved world sees angry Christians who are worried about their own safety, they see it as hypocrisy, they say; "where is your God that you are so frightened."

When a born again believer has joy and peace hardly noticing the evil in the world because they are so dedicated to the unsaved to bring them the authentic gospel they do not try to save a "culture", they are too busy bringing Christ to the unsaved.

John 17:14-17
"14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth."
We could attempt to make things go our way, that does not change lives or save souls. We must remain faithful to God, focused on Him no matter what the culture is doing.

There will probably come a time when we are not free anymore in America, just as many nations of the world are not free. Will we be able to demonstrate the joy of the Lord so much that others will see our love and trust in Christ so as to be drawn to Him.

In our culture today Christians are working to cause people to draw the unsaved to themselves. They love their accolades and their superior facade more than they want the unsaved to see Christ.
We are only obedient to Christ when we show an unbeliever Jesus, not ourselves, not our rules and not allegiance to our world, but Jesus Christ.

When Christ came to this world to save the lost He did not come to affect governments. A wicked government, the Romans crucified Him, not because they were anything but because it was the Father's will that Christ died for the sins of the world. The Father used wicked man to bring about His purpose, that purpose saved many people from hell and will continue to do so.

Are you willing to stop making political entities the focus and ready to be persecuted for Christ? It is my belief that America must come under persecution for the apostates to empty out of the churches. They will be saving themselves from harm, while the born again believer will remain faithful no matter what anyone does to them.
We live in an age when "Christians" are afraid to make their friends and families mad by speaking scripture, they are not likely to be able to be persecuted for their faith in a greater way.

The born again believer will be singing praises to God in prison while the apostate is avoiding prison by their silence to save themselves.

We speak most about that which we love and admire. If our verbiage is mostly political then we are connected far too much to this world.
The Holy Spirit will lead a born again believer to be driven to speak about Christ, everything that happens is interpreted in terms of His mind and His purpose.

1 Corinthians 2:15-16 "…15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. 16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."

I would like to encourage those who feel frustrated at the condition of the church and its focus on pleasure and money. I write things that are not generally accepted by most "Christians" because we are living in an apostate age in which the word "Jesus" is bantered around like an amulet of protection but there is no love for the real Jesus Christ. I know some can see this and are also grieved as I am.

Remember this:

Mark 6:4-5 "4 Then Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household is a prophet without honor. 5 So He could not perform any miracles there, except to lay His hands on a few of the sick and heal them.…"

If you love the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart you will be alone a lot. Few people will want to visit with you or validate the things God is saying to you from His Word and the instruction of the Holy Spirit. In a sense, you will be blackballed by those around you as someone to avoid.

Psalm 27:10
"For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in."

Matthew 13:57-58 "57 And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor. 58 And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.…"

Matthew 5:11-13 "…11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way, they persecuted the prophets before you. 13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.…"

Some people use this passage to say that we should be involved in politics to be salt and light, it has nothing to do with our works in the world except living out our Christianity as given to us by God. Do not allow anyone to intimidate you into doing the things they think you should do based on their faulty and selfish cultural ideas.

The only way we can walk hard after Jesus Christ is if we no longer care if we are loved or accepted by man.

Psalm 118:8
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

2 Timothy 2:3-5 "3 You, therefore, must endure[a] hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules."

What are the rules? They are all of God's principles in His Word.

Jeremiah 17:5
"Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord."
To trust in mankind on any level is a burden and bondage. We are free in our Spirit because we trust in Christ alone!!!
Hallelujah!!!!
