One man "pastorship" is not Biblical nor is it good for any gathering. God mandated that there be a plurality of leadership, no one man over any other man in the church. Pastor is not a title or position of honor above others, it is a calling and several men in the gathering should have this calling. When men use their positions as leverage to manipulate and intimidate the congregation, they are abusing their authority.
A pastor is to lead by preaching and using Scripture in context to guide others, they are not to force through tactics of intimidation and manipulation to force others to comply with their own rules.
The ultimate sin I have been accused of, has been to speak boldly as a woman. I have no desire to lead over men, nor do I believe I should be in a "leadership" position in any capacity. I merely love to speak about the things of the Lord to anyone who would enjoy embracing a conversation about Christ and His principles.
Those who are in love with Christ and cannot hold back the blessings of understanding the Word are discouraged to share if they are a woman as though the Holy Spirit in them does not work in a particular gender. I cannot count the number of times I have been rebuffed for sharing, not about the words I said but the fact that I shared at all.
I cannot help it, the Lord drives me to share and speak truth as led by Christ. Christ lives in all believers and all believers have the gifts of the Spirit. Yes, there are different roles according to gender, but one gender is not elevated above another in terms of the gifts, all believers have these gifts and should enjoy and love sharing as led by the Holy Spirit. Many in the modern legalistic church dominate to control, they are not interested in sharing to help.
I believe many of these wrong ideas are due to what has been taught in seminaries, where techniques are taught above the working of the Holy Spirit.
