Christ Heals but not Everyone!

Did you know that Christ didn't heal everyone?

Christ only healed those who wanted to be healed and demonstrated faith in His ability as God to heal them.

Christ did not heal someone who exhibited unbelief or rebellion against him.

Matthew 17:18-20
18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?”
20 And He *said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Matthew 13:57-58 "…57 And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor.” 58 And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief."

Those who believed in Jesus Christ and wanted the healing were those whom He healed. Those who were not offended by Christ were those who could see and experience His miracles.

God did not feed "ALL" of the poor! He fed those who were interested in Him and He fed those who followed Him around to listen to Him. However some of those were given food because they happened to be in the crowd for the miracles they could see were not trusting in Him.

God said that the Spirit gives life the flesh counts for nothing:

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
70 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!”
71 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.).

There are many "Judas's" in the church today. They want the protection of God, the blessings of material wealth and they think their empty and meaningless sacrifices will placate God, as if to buy Him off. And yet they have no love for Him.

God never called us to rescue everyone, but He did tell us to obey the Holy Spirit in witnessing of Him as we are led by Him.

If you are feeling guilty about whether or not you are witnessing to someone, just ask God . When we hear from Him we have a peace about what He tells us to do. We never have to worry whether or not we are doing something, we merely ask God and whatever He leads is where we should go.

I promise if you want to hear from God He will not be silent. You will hear Him and you will know that it was Him speaking. If you are not sure then perhaps it wasn't God. The false guilt placed on us by others should be ignored. We are free to say, "God didn't tell me to do that." OR, "I must do it because God told me to do it."

James 5:15-16 "15 And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. "

There is no reason for anyone else to talk you into anything, nor is there a reason to talk anyone else into something. The best thing to do is pray for ourselves and others to hear from God. We cannot know for someone else what God wants them to do. We cannot judge what others should be doing in service to God because we do not know what God wants for them.

We have only one advocate between God and man and that is Christ Jesus. No one else should stand as advocate for us between God and us.

If anyone comes to you pridefully proclaiming they have a word from the Lord for you, decline to hear it and declare that God speaks directly to you, there is no need of another advocate than Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2:5 " 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,'
