Last night we heard a radio talk show on which a man called in to say that Clark Co, in the state of Washington, could hold the entire population of the world.
Of course the talk show host was biased against godly thinking so he diminished it as foolishness.
My husband is a math expert, not being able to resist a challenge he began to do the calculations that prove the caller correct.
Clark county in Washington state, the county next to ours, has 656 square miles in it. This is the land, not counting lakes and rivers.
There are about 7.5 billion people in the world. He figured out that each person in the world could fit in 18 X 18 squares, 332 square inches. Every person in the world, man woman child and even babies would fit in Clark County.
The point is that there is plenty of land in the world that could feed the world population without any trouble at all. The problem with hunger in the world is political not population overload as the environmentalists would have us believe.
