Those Who Love Their Sin are not Born Again

We are saved by grace and grace alone. We cannot lose our salvation because we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise as a Guarantee of our salvation.

Ephesians 1:12-14 "…12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory. 13 And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth— the gospel of your salvation— you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.…"
However:................................

Grace is was not extended to be able to sin, it was extended to those who are repentant and want to be changed into a new creation by Christ Who gives us the power to stop sinning. Anyone who claims they can sin all they want have never been born again. Those who are born again hate sin as much as God does. They are miserable when they do it and confess quickly to be cleansed.

1 John 1:9 was written to believers.
Matthew 7:21-23 was written about non believers who think they are believers.

Hebrews 12:5-7 was written to believers:
"…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"

Romans 6:1-7 "6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,
6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
7 for he who has died is freed from sin."
