Knowing About Christ and Knowing Christ are Two Different Things

Sadly many people know about Christ but want to change Him into what they personally like. They really don't like the real Jesus Christ they prefer their false Jesus.
We have much false doctrine today, people are interpreting the scriptures the way they want deliberately because they don't like the principles of the real Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 4:2-4
"…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"
Those who love their false doctrine will make up excuses not to listen to those who love the Lord. They will say "you don't have a seminary degree so you can't know." They will say "you are a woman and should not say." They will say you are not smart enough, or old enough or educated enough, so you should not speak."
Whatever excuse they can find they will find it to negate anything the born-again believer shares by the power of the Holy Spirit. However, one thing they will not do is go to prayer and ask God. They will dig their heels in and become more staunch in their false system and doctrine to make themselves feel "right."
1 Timothy 4:1-2
"Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, / influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron."
Those who become stubborn and resistant to the truth will regress in maturity as they fight bitterly to defend what offends God.
2 Peter 2:1-3
"Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be defamed. In their greed, these false teachers will exploit you with deceptive words. The longstanding verdict against them remains in force, and their destruction does not sleep."
Acts 20:29-30
"I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. / Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them."
These are difficult times for those who love the Lord, Christ must be enough for us as we endure the apostasy while speaking the truth.
1 John 4:1
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world."
The peace and joy of knowing that soon we will be out of this world and with the Lord, keeps me full of tranquility and rejoicing as we wait for Christ in the air.
