Follow Christ Not Man

We can expect nearly "everyone" around us, to be angry with us even when we do nothing other than express our own beliefs and live our own life. How we think and how we live is an affront to those who are perishing.

Superficial believers will place their own rules and expectations on us as though they are God's law. Many of those expectations are not in the Word of God, nor are they beneficial.

The most spiritually beneficial and righteous ways are those principles that are described in God's Word. As believers in Christ, we follow Him, not any one else's idea of righteousness.

If we doubt our own beliefs and actions, we do not go to someone else, we go to God, He will tell us what we should be doing and being. He will make us what we should be while compelling us to be what He wants us to be.

Many false rules and expectations have been added to the doctrines of those who desire to appear superior to others. They pride themselves in their own rules, while they negate God in many things they endorse.

Matthew 11:29-30 "…29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Mark 7:13-14 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so” in many such matters. 14 Once again Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “All of you, listen to Me and understand:…"

Revelation 3:16-18 "…16 So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of My mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, white garments so that you may be clothed and your shameful nakedness not exposed, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.…"

Lukewarm is good for nothing, coolness refreshes and revives while hot brings healing and fervor to the soul.
