Helping Someone to Sin Leaves Blood on Your Hands

Proverbs 10:17 "Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray".
I find it interesting that God said in this passage that those who refuse discipline are leading others away from God by their example.
This brings a deeper meaning to the statement; "more is caught than taught."
The way we act toward others teaches more than our words. And, we will act properly in a godly manner when we head the instruction of Christ.
Those who ignore the teachings of the Bible to embrace cultural standards will lead others astray simply by doing things their own way while following the culture, it doesn't matter what they say they believe, it matters only that they live according to what is in their heart of obedience toward Christ.
I have heard "Christians" tell me they are against divorce and remarriage but support and attend the weddings of divorced people. Their actions were those of support rather than encouragement to obey God.
I have heard others also say they are against abortion but would go to the abortion clinic so the woman having one didn't have to be alone because she was going to go anyway. It really was an excuse to be liked by the woman killing her child. Perhaps if the one supporting the young mother had not gone with her the mother would have been too afraid to kill her baby and later change her mind. Perhaps a baby would have been saved if someone had not supported this act of murder.
It is not an act of love to support someone to sin. It is selfish, based on the desire to be loved by the one who is sinning. When we love Christ more than we love people we will be able to encourage others to obey Him without a need to be liked ourselves.
Even if someone becomes angry at our resolve to obey God rather than man then that anger is on them and our hands remain clean in the sight of God.
Ezekiel 3:17-19 "…17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 18 I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood. 19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.…"
We are responsible for what we support and endorse! Will we care what people think more than what God thinks? Is our codependency on people more important than God?
