Imprecatory Psalms

Psalm 23:5-6 "5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.…"

Imprecatory Psalms,: contained within the Book of Psalms of the Hebrew Bible (תנ"ך), are those that invoke judgment, calamity, or curses, upon one's enemies or those perceived as the enemies of God. ... As a sample, Psalm 69:24 states toward God, "Pour out Your indignation on them, and let Your burning anger overtake them." Wikipedia

Imprecatory prayers are not revenge on our part, they are asking God to avenge us, there is no sin in praying this way.
Psalm 109 is another prayer of this sort.

Romans 12:18 If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head.”…

We are to bless our enemies so they have nothing to hold against us, we are clean then, however we can ask God to avenge us with those who are wicked and will not stop.

It is dangerous for anyone to unjustly comes against a born again believer. God loves those who love Him and will not turn a blind eye to those who harm them. God really does have our backs.

Our first desire is for unsaved people to repent and become born again, but if they will not then we should not grieve over those who hate our God. Our grief is that they don't love Him, not in what happens to them if they refuse.

We must live in peace as much as possible doing our part, however those who hate us and Christ will not be at peace with us even if we have been at peace with them.

Christ died for the whole world, our compassion for the lost is great but never greater than our love for Christ.
