1 Corinthians 5:6-8 "6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."
God made it clear that we were not to associate with Christians who were sinning. We are to remove ourselves from them because to associate with them is to validate their sinful activities.
1 Corinthians 5:11-13 "11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13 God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”
Divorce and remarriage are rampant in the church today because so many Christians think they are being kind by accepting people who have no interest in obeying God. What they are really doing is enabling people to feel comfortable in their sin; this is not love.
Love operates to help one another to confess sin and lead others to obedience to His Word. We are not helping someone to obey Christ by coddling them in their sin. Being happy and friendly toward them while they remain in sin only damages their relationship with God if they were saved in the first place.
If we love others, we speak the truth of God's word and avoid those who refuse to listen. When those who are sinning repent and want to obey God, then we restore them in a Spirit of gentleness.
Galatians 6:1-2 "1Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Remember it is not love to enable others in their sin. It is love to warn them and then to restore them when they repent.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Nice Verses Kind
Needing to be seen as "nice" is more about appearances than authenticity. Kindness is associated with truth. Nice is superficial, and kindness is deeper with purpose.
Nice is associated with keeping the peace at the expense of truth. Kindness is driven by the truth that deepens character.
Ephesians 4:32 "32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Niceness cannot sustain a relationship; without depth, the relationship cannot grow. Growth depends on two people being honest and authentic to resolve life issues with the well-being of others in mind.
"Nice" care only about getting along, even if it compromises truth to keep a sense of peace.
Nice very rarely helps fix relationship problems. Assertiveness with kindness grows individuals and makes the relationships deeper and more long-lasting.
Ephesians 4:15 "15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ,"
Growth rarely comes without facing things we would rather not face. The things we avoid in our character are the things we must admit and confront. IF we love one another, we will seek to help one another grow.
Christ was hated for being openly truthful, and so will we be hated for speaking boldly. Yes, we share with others to help because we love them. If they do not receive the love and fight and argue to do whatever they want to do that may harm them, we are no longer responsible to continue the attempt to convince them.
Prayer is necessary so that we will be bathed in the Holy Spirit as He guides us.

Our Companions Reveal Us
If I am around people who think about small things, I will think about small things. If I am around those who love the depth of truth, I will think more deeply.
1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ."
Our culture enjoys superficiality and crassness that degrade our character when we hear them regularly. This is why God said, "Come out from among them and be separate."
As born-again believers, we ought to seek out those who speak God's truth and emulate the very love of Christ.
I confess that I do not know how to manipulate people to believe the truth. I am more open and honest, which this culture does not seem to be able to handle. They want calculated words of affirmation to create positive feelings.
When we dance all around the truth to create an environment that feels good, the truth gets lost, and only the feelings dominate. Considering how we come across can be good, but if we are focused on making someone like us, we will be useless to them and dishonest with ourselves.
Christ and the apostles didn't worry about causing people to like them; they never thought that, because of how friendly they were, those hearing will like the message. They spoke boldly, leaving the response up to the hearer.
Isaiah 52:11 "Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing; come out from it, purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD."
Revelation 18:4 "Then I heard another voice from heaven say: 'Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues."

The Most Dangerous Business
The most dangerous business in recent times has been the media, including television and movies, which have twisted the minds of a generation that worships entertainment and elevates false information above truth.
Most "information" of today is tainted dramatically with spin and lies that dull the sense of right and wrong. It entices people to base their judgments on feelings rather than biblical truth.
Discernment has been lost, causing people to fight over the right to believe the lies. Unable to hear correction or the truth, they persecute those who love God's truth and His ways.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,"
1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."

Walking with Christ Brings Steadfastness Without Fear
As we walk through this world full of 2 Timothy 3 types, we must remain calm, unaffected by attacks, and unresponsive to their rudeness.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 "Difficult Times Will Come
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
When the devil sends someone to assault us verbally or emotionally, it is our job as born-again believers to allow them to be them and not allow them to cause a reaction from us that matches their rudeness.
There is nothing more satisfying to the devil than to cause a believer to look just like the rager. When we remain calm, without anger and state the truth plainly, avoiding discussion after the first angry response, we have remained faithful to God without becoming like the angry individual.
The only way to achieve calmness and righteousness is to not care if we convince the angry one of anything. The desire to convince someone who is resistant comes from the neediness of being validated and accepted by them. When we don't care if they like us or believe us, we can remain calm.
Calmness and silence are great powers; they are dependence on God rather than our emotions or neediness to be validated.
Proverbs 26:4 "4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he become wise in his own eyes."
Telling the truth once and removing ourselves is the only way to handle a fool. They are wise in their own eyes and have no tolerance for an opinion other than their own.
In other words, it is silly to continue to try to convince anyone who loves to fight and argue to win. We don't have to win anything, we can speak the truth openly, and honestly with calmness and disengage when the hearer begins the raging.
I cannot count the many times ungodly family members attempted to start a fight through their contentiousness without rational reasoning. As soon as the short discussion begins to give us credibility, they shut it all down with personal attacks or raging that frightens people into silence.
1 Corinthians 2:12-15 "…13 And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment."
They do not like "fanatical Christians" because we believe in actually following the Bible in our allegiance to and love for Christ.
We find the same dynamic in the churches of today, as well as the gatherings of unsaved people who love themselves above all else.
Our greatest defense against the attacks of the devil is to completely rely on Christ without concern about how others perceive us. People pleasing ruins lots of Christians, causing fear in their hearts that someone will not like them.
1 John 4:6 "We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception."
I understand now more than ever why God said to "come out from among them and be separated." When we are the only authenticly born again believer in a room full of ungodly people who are hostile to Christianity, no one in the room will hear the truth. They will gang up on the one who speaks the truth and validate one another in the lie.
This is why I prefer to visit with only one couple or an individual, so there are no flying monkeys to support the lie. People tend to "pack-up" when they are in groups.
I have been in women's Bible study groups where the leader said something patently wrong. I addressed it, the room heard it, and they all ignored what I said, isolating me for being the "trouble maker," even though I was calm and asked that we look at the context.
The silliest comment I have heard more than once from women leaders has been, "What does this verse mean to you?" I attempted to explain that we should examine every verse in context and according to what God intended, rather than being subject to our own interpretations.
Anyone who challenges with the Word any leader is seen as rebellious. In the minds of those who follow those leaders, the leaders are the experts; they hear from the Holy Spirit, but no one else in the room has this special blessing. Again, totally against the Word.
John 16:13-14 "13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you."
When the Holy Spirit speaks through each of us, God gets the glory, but when teachers do not allow others to challenge them, remaining, in the minds of the students, superior to the others, then no one is allowed to correct or interject except to praise the leader. The leaders are the ones glorified, not God.
It is possible, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to remain calm always so that any accusation about us is a total lie. It is better for the wicked to tell a total lie about us than to have a half-truth because we allowed our emotions to vent.
We can love God so much that He responds for us so that we remain guilt-free from the assertions of the ungodly.
The less I am around the ungodly except to witness Christ, the stronger I become in the ways of God.
Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Never allow an unbeliever to trigger you; if you are controlled by the Holy Spirit nothing will trigger you.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 "Difficult Times Will Come

Born-Again Believers Hate Sin and Love Righteousness
I find it hard to believe that a born-again believer "struggles" for a long time with sin. When God transforms us into a new creation, we hate what He hates and love what He loves. God said, "No child of God keeps on sinning," because we are convicted by the Holy Spirit, and sin is ugly and distasteful to those who have the Spirit of God in them. Perhaps those who struggle with sin, especially the same sin,n have never trusted in Christ because they do not hate sin enough to run from it.
1 John 3:9 "No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God."
2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one."
Ephesians 6:16 "In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
1 Peter 1:5 "who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."
Psalm 121:7-8 "The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul. The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore."
Believers do slip and fall at times but they do not remain in sin, enjoying it; they want to escape it and ask God for strength to run from it.
When we have trusted in Christ, those unsaved people who used to like us no longer do. They are repulsed by the Holy Spirit Who lives in us. Even when we say nothing, the Holy Spirit convicts them of their sin making them uncomfortable with us, even if they don't understand why.
Psalm 37:28 "For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off."

Are You Maligned Because You Love Jesus Christ?
1 Kings 18:16-18 "16So Obadiah went to inform Ahab, who went to meet Elijah. 17 When Ahab saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” 18“I have not troubled Israel,” Elijah replied, “but you and your father’s house have, for you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and have followed the Baals.…"
Amos 7:10 "Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,"
Luke 11:47-51 "Woe to you! For you build tombs for the prophets, but it was your fathers who killed them. / So you are witnesses consenting to the deeds of your fathers: They killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. / Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will persecute.’ ..."
How many of you can relate to being called a troublemaker, gossiped against, without being allowed to speak your defense? They are always secretive and covertly accusatory, but what they don't realize is that God is watching them and He will avenge His children, if not now, at the judgment.
I submit to you that if you have sold out to Jesus Christ, then you either have experienced this or will at some point.
There is no greater blessing than walking according to the truth without fear of being accepted by others. People pleasing ruins many people but Christ strengthens us to remain steady no matter what!!!

Finding the Real Christ
My greatest desire is for family members to find Jesus Christ according to the Bible and not the culture.

Blessed is the Man Who Follows the Lord Jesus Christ
Psalm 40:4 “Blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust, and does not turn to the proud nor to those who lapse into falsehood.”
Psalm 1:1-2 "1Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. 2But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night."
Proverbs 4:14-15 "Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it; do not travel on it. Turn from it and pass on by."
Proverbs 24:1-2 "Do not envy wicked men or desire their company;
for their hearts devise violence, and their lips declare trouble."
Ephesians 5:11 "Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
Proverbs 19:27 "If you cease to hear instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge."

Seek Jesus Christ not Man
Mankind is deceived for one reason only, and that is because they want to believe what sounds good, whether or not it is true is not relevant to those who love their illusion.
Eve believed the serpent because she wanted to; the fruit looked good to her, so instead of consulting with her husband or seeking God, she followed her lying senses. She chose to believe the devil because her desires had overridden any need to consult with anyone.
Genesis 3:6 "5“For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eyes, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom, she took the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it."
When we depend almost entirely on our senses, we will be fooled often. Something looks good to our eyes, sounds good to our ears, tastes good, or feels good, and without God's truth, we will be led away into destruction. The devil uses our fleshly senses to accept falsehood that sounds plausible and even reasonable unless the light of God's truth shines upon it.
This is the reason so many Christians in our day decide what they want to believe and then go searching for scripture out of context to support their desired fleshly opinion.
Instead of discussing with Eve what God had already told him, Adam chose to go along because he too desired to eat what was forbidden. It's always easier to fall into sin when others are encouraging us to do it with them.
This is why our first consult should always be with the Holy Spirit who lives in born-again believers. If we start with people to ask for answers, we will never get around to asking God.
In these last days of apostasy it is dangerous to ask people for their opinions because those who say they are Christians are more dedicated to their traditions of men than they are to Christ.
We know this because often when we shine the light of Scripture on a matter, the person in front of us is more likely to go with conventional fleshly wisdom than with the Bible.
We live in a culture that values the opinions of men above the wisdom of God. They rarely mention the Holy Spirit and often fight against the truth to maintain their comfortable belief, which the majority enjoys, and sadly, the majority of the people trust psychology based on Darwinism more than they do in Christ.
The culture takes priority over the Word of God.
Mark 7:13 "13Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
Colossians 2:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ."
1 Timothy 4:1-3 "Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth."
It is best in these last days of apostasy that we seek Christ and not men. Our first go to Person ought to be Christ, then there will be no need to ask anyone else.
John 16:13-14 "13However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.…"
When God gives the answer, He will be glorified; when man gives the answer man will be glorified.

Everything is Changing
Excellent article!!!! These are all signs of the end times and we are living it just as the Bible prophesied. The thing I notice the most is how rude and mean people have become, nearly all respect and decorum has been removed from our culture. Family is ugly now for the most part, while thinking they are right and normal. They demand respect but do not give any. They treat with disrespect those who do not elevate them but call it respect to send a birthday card once a year. It is so twisted now it is crazy making for those who are not like the world but love Jesus Christ. Thankfully, we know why it is happening and that it is not about us.
From Author Dave Ramsey
Very well said:
I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone.
You can't justify this insanity. We have become a nation that has lost its collective sense of direction.
We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.
Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.
People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.
Universities that advocate equality, discriminate against Asian-Americans in favor of African-Americans.
Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while others are not held responsible for their actions at the present time.
Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights.
People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.
After legislating gender, if a dude pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.
It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it.
People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.
Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.
Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcomed.
$5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.
If you cheat to get into college, you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country, you go to college for free.
And, pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"!
Nothing makes sense anymore, no values, no morals, no civility, and people are dying of a Chinese virus, but it is racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China.
We are clearly living in an upside-down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong, but killing innocent babies is right.
Wake up America. The great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water, and sinking fast.”
Living for Christ in the Midst of a Wicked Generation
God made it clear that we are not to be like those who are rude, stubborn, and mean-spirited. If we return meanness for meanness, we have become like them.
We can correct, or remain silent and we can walk away and keep our distance, but we should never use their tactics to intimidate them the way they tried to intimidate us.
Born-again believers are not about controlling others or forcing others; we are about God's love, purpose, and His control over us. And, we must make decisions that help us walk more closely with God, even if it means removing ourselves from those who do not live lives that reflect a love for Christ.
It is amazing how much chaos and trouble rebellious people can cause merely by our responses. May every believer be guided continually by the Holy Spirit so that we do not become like those who hate Him.
Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Proverbs 4:23 "23 Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life."
We can't change anyone else, but Christ can protect and change us into His image.

Walking in faith without seeing is the greater faith!
Next time someone tells you they have died and gone to heaven willing to tell you what they saw, repeat this verse to them.
1 Corinthians 2:9 "9Rather, as it is written: “ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
It makes no sense that a believer would be shown heaven when he supposedly has already believed. We walk by faith not by sight and we have no reason to have "an experience" because we have the Word of God.
If someone will not believe you about the Word of God why would they believe you that you had an experience?
We have everything we need in the Bible to walk by faith, those who must see to "feel spiritual" have little faith.

No One Saves Themselves
There are far too many people who believe a born-again believer transformed by Christ can lose their salvation. If we had any part in our salvation, then Christ's death on the cross would be meaningless. Christ did it all, and none of it depended on ourselves.
2 Corinthians 5:17 "17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new [a]creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
Ephesians 2:10 "10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
When we trust in Chris,t He transforms us into a new creation. We will never go back because it was His work, nothing of ourselves.
Ephesians 1:12-14 "…12in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory. 13And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth— the gospel of your salvation— you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.…"
Those who walk away were never changed by Christ; they only pretended to work their own way to salvation without a desire to be changed by Christ. We know this because God said that many are like this.
Matthew 7:21-23 "I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
When we have been transformed by Christ, we hate sin. If we fall because we are still battling this fleshly bod,y then we hate it and confess it to be cleansed.
1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
God never throws away those who have been sealed by God. He disciplines them.
If someone walks away, they were never born again; they are pretenders. God said the church would be full of people like this in the last days, the reason He says the following.
Matthew 13:24-30 "24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
No one who is born again loses their salvation. If someone walks away, they were never saved; they knew who Jesus Christ was, like the five virgins who ran out of oil, they knew but did not trust in Him. It was merely religion and not a relationship with Christ.
Remember: Ephesians 2:9-10 "…9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 "17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new [a]creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

Bible Believing is not Necessarily Christ Following
There is a difference between a Bible believer and a Bible follower. Bible believers only say without obeying. Followers obey.
Visualization to Feel Safe is Ungodly
I once heard a Christian proclaim that when we become fearful about something happening to us, we should pretend Jesus is a 300-foot-tall giant standing next to us to alleviate our fears.
First of all, there is a lack of faith when we have to visualize anything about God. When we walk by faith, we have no need to see anything; we simply trust. We trusted Him without seeing Him when we became born again, and we can continue to trust Him after He transforms us, even though we may not see Him with our eyes.
There is no trust when we have to see or pretend; there is just wild imagination comforting us momentarily. This is not faith; we know that because Jesus Christ is not a 300-foot-tall person, He was only about 5' 2" when He was on earth. God never said He was a 300-foot-tall person who protects us. There is no scripture that describes fantasizing to make ourselves feel safe.
I am not a fan of visualization to comfort ourselves; fantasy is not a means of trusting in Christ. In fact it works against faith.
Matthew 21:32 "32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him."
Using fantasy to feel safe is an expression of not believing in God unless you can see Him.
Our world is so full of fantasy and pretense that it even infects the faith of many without them realizing it. The principles of God are placed on the back burner while desired beliefs based on idle imaginings are extolled as legitimate faith expressions.
2 Corinthians 10:5 "5 We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,"
When we take captive our minds to align with Christ and His Word, we will not need to imagine things God never said or did.
Colossians 1:15 "the image of the invisible God". While no one has seen God's essence"
We are never told to imagine anything about God, we are told to trust in Him and His written word.
2 Corinthians 10:5 "5 We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,"
To visualize a man 300 feet tall to make ourselves feel safer is bringing down our God to a human level.
When we reduce our Christianity to cliches that sound good without analyzing them through Scripture, it always casts God in a much lesser position than Who He is, who is the creator of the universe above all things and all mankind. So precious that no one can imagine the real Him.

Labeled Wrongly Because of Your Faith in Christ
Have you ever been labeled rebellious because you think very differently from those who are rebellious?
It is common now in these end times for those who follow the Word of God to be called rebellious, divisive, or judgmental by those who are these things themselves.
A favorite tactic of the devil is to accuse the believer of sins the devil is committing, but the believer is not.
I see this on steroids in the news recently, when the police have to shoot a criminal, and the media claims the police were the bad guys in it.
It is the rebellious people who are accusing the police of wrongdoing who are only doing what they need to do to get criminals off the streets.
The same is true in families in which the family members who claim to be "Bible believers" accuse the Bible followers of the very things the disobedient "Christians" are doing, but the Bible followers are not doing.
Sadly this sort of disordered and unruly thinking is common now. They get away with it almost entirely without challenge because the entire culture supports those who are lying when they say they are "Bible believing."
Our culture has degraded so much so that the insane are runing the asylum, and the churches are included in this mess. The world has taken over the churches and has accused those who no longer attend of being disobedient for not attending their mess.
They follow a system God never commanded, while unable to wrap their minds around the truth of God's word, preferring their traditions of men over the Word of God.
Mark 7:13 "13Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
Traditions of men are more powerful than truth in the hearts of those who love to have their ears tickled. They will only listen to those who say what they want to hear, while those who correct with Scripture are negated and punished for disrupting the status quo with truth.
Colossians 2:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ."
1 Timothy 4:1-3 "Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, / influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. / They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth."
Romans 10:3 "Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness."
Acts 7:51-53 "You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did. Which of the prophets did your fathers fail to persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One. And now you are His betrayers and murderers— you who received the law ordained by angels, yet have not kept it.”

Christ is the Word
To deny any part of God's Word, changing it, or adding to it to fit our culture, is to deny Christ. He is the Word!
