We confess our sins to be cleansed and to grow in holiness.
1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
There can be no Spiritual growth without confession, it demonstrates a desire to be continually changed by Christ.
Those who seek Christ continually self-reflect, pondering the wisdom of the Bible to continue in Spiritual growth.
The more we seek Christ and admit our flaws the more we will grow in holiness.
1 Peter 1:15-16 "15 but [a]like the Holy One who called you, [b]be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 "18 But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
Romans 12:2 "2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
1 Thessalonians 4:7 "For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness."
2 Corinthians 7:1 Paul Reveals His Heart
"7 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
Romans 6:22 "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life."
May each one who claims to be born again evaluate what they do and what they think according to the Bible and the leading of the Holy Spirit and not based on what the world tells them.
The world will tell us the opposite of what God tells us.
Trust in Christ always for everything.
