Narcissists are Convicted by the Holy Spirit

When the narcissist is convicted by the Holy Spirit in you, do not chase after them when they bolt. Let them go, they hate the Holy Spirit conviction that emanates off of born again believers. They are not running from the believer, even though they think they are, they are running from the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

Stand strong, speak truth and allow the narcissists to leave when they run.

Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Narcissists generate bitterness, wrath and anger, the very things God tells us to put away from us. When we see that these are the elements the narcissists are attempting to create in us, we must remove ourselves to avoid the temptation to act the way the narcissist acts.

1 Corinthians 15:33 "33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

We don't see Christ or the apostles running after those who have rejected Christ. They allow the consequences of life to teach the runner and the Holy Spirit to reach them in His good time.

Tolerating evil by remaining with the evil person only serves to validate the evil.

Isaiah 26:10 "10 But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD."

In our modern flimsy idea of grace we have managed to become so soft on sin that the one who acts badly expects forgiveness without any sense they need to repent. Our culture has been enablers merely to feel good about ourselves. This superficial forgiveness does not generate sorrow in the sinful heart, it only encourages more sin.
