When We Are Disciplined

When we are disciplined by God with a "stay at home", the best response is to take it like a "man" that is with joy and strength as something that will change us into better born again believers.

If we kick against the goad in anger it will harden our hearts. When we have no control over something the best way to handle it is to roll with it knowing it is from God.

Hebrews 13:15
"Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name."

Romans 8:28
"28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

If we believe God then we must accept what He has for us even through the actions of evil people.

God will lift it when He is ready and His ways are perfects. All we have in us is the temptation to turn back into our bratty selves demanding what we want when we want it. That does not influence God, it may only aggravate Him further to cause a lengthier discipline.

Isaiah 43:2
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

James 1:2-8 "2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

We have much to be thankful for, we have food, clothing, a place to live, and many things we don't need that bless us in our homes. Believer, take this time to bless God in your home. It doesn't really matter if the powers that be are acting badly, what matters is that God is in control and may even be using these actions to discipline His children for their learning. What comes out of us will be what is the real us during this time of restriction.

It is tempting for all of us at times to whine and complain about our lockdown, however, we must remember that the over-reaction of the government for their purposes can also lead to our overreaction to God's chastisement if our focus is sideways instead of vertical. Brothers and Sisters, are we looking to Christ, or are we fixated on the government. One will edify and lift up, that is Christ, and the others will demoralize and bring depression.

I choose to look to Christ, praise Him and live in joy! What will you choose?

Alan Brayshaw

" Children, why do you continue to provoke my anger? I have removed your idols to make time for you to seek my face. Have you done this? I have put you in solitude for this reason. While I see many on their knees. I hear others grumble against me . Their idols of gold and silver will be worthless. Their GOD money is failing them. Go into our prayer closet and call on me now. I will hear you, I will forgive your sins. I send plagues to move you to action. I send plagues to get your attention. I send plagues to soften men's hearts to the TRUTH of who I AM. Humble yourself and read my WORDS. Search your heart, where is your trust placed.? The BEAST has many worldly friends. He works with them in the shadows to plan for his REIGN of power. While men sleep , he works. The earth will shake and sink beneath you. Towers and monuments will crumble and fall. Darkness will be upon the nations. The hand of the Destroyer will pass over the children my Father has given to me.Just as it was in Egypt so it shall be again in these LAST DAYS. Seek after me while time remains. The plagues will continue until you know I AM THE LORD. "
