We are Living in a Narcissistic Jungle

Narcissists love to boast about their exploits and their appearance. They will "humble brag" about how well they are doing with their exercise program to someone who is having medical problems and not once inquiring about the other person's condition.
Philippians 2:3–5
"3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,"
It is a sin to provoke someone else into jealousy by boasting.
Galatians 5:26
"26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."
There can be no empathy for others in someone who is self-focused on their own prowess. In fact, narcissists cannot be around people who are handicapped or chronically infirmed, or ill.
The narcissist actually thinks it is important to be strong and well, until they become ill and then they are the only person in the world who was ever ailing, all attention must be on them.
Since the focus of the narcissist is continually on their own appearances and adventures they can see nothing else. They will look down on those who do not have adventures or at least the kind of adventures the narcissist deems worthy of jealousy. Narcissists love to make others jealous, this is why we see them inviting to their party a person they don't like so that person can see the narcissist ignoring them as well as their popularity with others.
Narcissists have gatherings and parties that they boast about to others, they never contact their targets just to inquire about them or talk about important matters.
A narcissist will ask questions pretending to be concerned about you only to use the information to harm your relationships with others. They will twist in their own minds a motive or encounter in ways that make their target look bad and then pass those twisted ideas on to others.
One thing the "Christian" narcissist will never do is show empathy toward others, inquire of others to know their need or have any interest in the life of others that do not in some way enhance their own life. If there is an inquiry it will be used to boast of their involvement in the life of the person, even if it was minimal.
A classic narcissistic mentality in churches today is more subtle and a little less grandiose but is really the same as the cliques we see. Those who "clique up" because they feel superior to others and only those who appear special are in their group are their friends. They boast with one another about their own accomplishments but have no real connection to one another. The relationships in these groups are superficial at best and do not last because of the lack of love in the group.
When self is on the throne there can be no love.
The people in these groups only "love", loosely translated, those who elevate them in some way. As soon as someone begins to think more deeply and disagree with the group that person will be ignored, even mocked at times. And, in some cases treated so disrespectfully, they lose heart and leave.
The narcissist does not like that their target leaves because they have to choose another person to exclude to feel superior.
Narcissists are rampant in the modern church. There are more of them than there are godly people seeking the Lord to become like Him.
This is the reason it is so difficult to find church gatherings in which Christ is held up as the Authority and love runs throughout the church. When love is the dominant force in a gathering it is not perfect but the love overwhelms any other worldly mentality.
When love is absent from most of the people attending it is impossible to remain where Christ is disdained and worldliness is the dominant force. These are demonic gatherings full of self-will and rejection of the truth of God's word, no matter what they may say.
Narcissists are happy when they are getting what they want and rage when they are not being elevated. Anger is the dominant force within their being and is only masked temporarily while they are getting what they want.
We are living in 2 Timothy 3 times, in which most people all the time are living out narcissism. It is a spectrum, from a little to malignant, and the malignancy is growing exponentially as we move through these end times to the very end when Christ removes His church.
Malignant meaning, strong and infectious, unrelenting and an inability to stop it or be instructed. Blinded by their own elevated view of themselves they cannot see anyone else.
The narcissist is untrustworthy even if they were to apologize it would be to gain the trust back of someone who no longer trusted them, it would never be about godly conviction that they have harmed someone or displeased God.
Narcissists generally do not apologize, humbling themselves is unthinkable, they merely attempt to be nice next time to confuse those they wish to keep in their circle. And, they keep in their circle those who elevate them or appear to be superior to others. They will only associate with those they consider to be unworthy of them.
When authentic born-again believers are removed from the earth they take with them the Holy Spirit Who is the restrainer of evil. Then is when we will see evil have free reign, unrestrained, the most horrific times the world has ever seen.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed."
We are watching the rampant anger, disrespect, and self-righteousness.
It is important that if we see tendencies in ourselves that are leaning toward a narcissistic attitude, that we confess it and ask the Lord to cleanse us from it before it becomes an action that will ruin our Christian witness.
We must keep ourselves separate from the world except to bring the gospel so that we will not become like the world as it marches in full force toward malignant narcissism.
1 John 2:15-17
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."
Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
1 Corinthians 15:33 "33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” 34 Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame."

Whining About the End Times Events

If we are continually whining about the politics of an evil government then we are not continually focused on Christ. Our mission is the gospel in spite of all that is going on around us. If we are worldly focused we are distracted with useless and futile things. No one can stop the chaos that is coming, it would be the same as not believing God that these things will happen.
I believe God when He said the world is spinning out of control while demons dominate everything, so in response, I want to speak of the Lord every chance I get to the unsaved and encourage the believers whenever and wherever possible.
We can expect the world to spin out of control into insanity, God said it would, no surprise there, so we need to stop focusing on all that as though we need to do something about it and speak of the Lord and His gospel as often as we can everywhere we go.
Attempting to stop prophecy is like trying to empty the ocean with a bucket and a teaspoon, it can't be done, so why waste valuable time on it that could be spent knowing God and sharing Him with others.
Colossians 3:23-25 "23 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people,
24 knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
25 For the one who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality."
There are many people who realize these are the end times but don't act as though they believe it. Since the time is short it is God's purpose for us to bring the message of the gospel to as many as possible before we are taken out of here.
Yes, I said it, it is a waste of time to save a nation or a world politically when God has judged it for destruction. Our goal ought to be the gospel to the nations. Soon "Christians" who are that in name only will be following the antichrist because He will deceive them with promises of saving their nation or this world. Since the nation and this world is their focus they will gladly fall in line.
Don't be deceived, better times are not coming for the world but they are for the born-again believer who will exit before the mess is full-blown.

Becoming a New Creation

We come to Christ as we are but we do not remain like that. Christ changes us into a new creation, the old is passed away, this means the way we think is completely different from before we were born-again and this determines how we act.
Romans 12:1-3 "1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.…"
Those who are born again cannot be comfortable in their sin, they will be tormented with guilt until they confess it to be cleansed by Christ.
James 5:15-16 "…15 And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail."
Colossians 1:9
"For this cause, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;"
Seeking Christ is the antidote to the ravages of sin. No one can change the past but they can move forward in holiness as each sinful attitude and act is confessed.
1 John 1:9 was written to believers. We grow in holiness in direct proportions to how often we confess. Those who rarely confess or refuse to admit their sin will not grow and will maintain superficial relationships that have no depth.
1 John 1:9
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Do not think we can grow in holiness and wisdom without confession of sin.

Biology Does Not Make a Family

Biology does not make a family. Families are made up of people who love one another, care about the life of one another and take care of one another.
This description is the family of Christ who has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. They possess the gifts of the Spirit, the first of the gifts being Love.
If someone does not act lovingly toward their brothers and sisters they are not true followers of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
1 John 4:6-7 "6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. 7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.…"
We do not have to guess if someone loves us, we know by the respect they show us and the concern they have for us.
God loves this way, included in His love is kindness, gentleness, honesty, correction, rebuke and truth. It is not love to watch a Spiritual family member walk down a road that will bring them the discipline of God and isolation from his brothers and sisters.
What the world calls love is not love at all, it is selfishness and greed. The desire to see someone fall and refuse to admit they got up and began again in a better way is anathema to the one who loves as the world does.
Truth is hated by the world but loved by all those who follow Christ. Truth takes priority over everything all the time.
1 John 5:2-4 "…2 By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, 4 because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.…"
We cannot love our brothers and sisters if we do not first love God above all things and all other people. It is this love that helps our brothers and sisters to walk safely with Christ.

No One is Above Another

1 Corinthians 3:6-9
"6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.
8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are laborers together with God: ye are God's co-workers, you are God's building."
Everyone has a job to do in the work of the Kingdom of God. No one's work is better or greater than another, God looks at our obedience to what He has given each of us, not how large the ministry may be.
No one should judge another man's calling or ministry except to be sure it is Biblical and the people are obeying the Word of God.
Believers have got to stop judging others unbiblically, based on human ideas or human traditions.
We have also got to give up the idea that only an "ordained" pastor has a ministry. God has given every single believer the blessing of ministry, whether it is helping other ministries or having their own. Leaders in the church, that is the elders, plural, are not the only ones who serve, all born-again believers serve in many different ways.
The following passage applies to ALL born-again believers men and women and even children who have been born-again.
1 Corinthians 12 "14 For the body is not one part, but many.
15 If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has arranged the parts, each one of them in the body, just as He desired.
19 If they were all one part, where would the body be?
20 But now there are many parts, but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again, the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
22 On the contrary, it is much truer that the parts of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;
23 and those parts of the body which we consider less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor, and our less presentable parts become much more presentable,
24 whereas our more presentable parts have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which lacked,
25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same care for one another.
26 And if one part of the body suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if a part is honored, all the parts rejoice with it."
Every prayer warrior who makes it their mission to pray diligently making intercession for the saints will have their reward for doing that, even if it is all they do.
It is not the size of a ministry but it is whether or not we obeyed what the Holy Spirit gives us. There are many believers who are locked into traditions that are not Biblical, only man's ideas that prevent and discourage other believers from seeking God for their calling
We are better off asking God and seeking the Holy Spirit than asking others what they think we should be doing. No other person can know what our calling is, they can know gifts we may have but it is only the Holy Spirit Who knows what we should be doing with those gifts. Trust HIM!!!!
