Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Some Tolerance is Lunacy
Common sense tells us that the tolerance required today toward religious beliefs would be madness if applied to any other issue. Should police be tolerant of crime, doctors tolerant of disease, judges tolerant of false testimony, etc.? Yet a tolerance is mandated in spiritual matters which in any other context would be lunacy.

Their words are not Ours!
Narcissists always put word in the mouths of those they attack. Just as they add to the scriptures they will add to our words too!
There is confusion when someone says we said something we never said. These narcissists will claim we do what they do, leaving everyone in the room believing we were the naughty ones.
They do this to God too! Many people claim they know the Bible but refuse to prove their point from the very words of God. They rage to shut the truth teller down while appearing as though they know, even though their evidence has more to do with opinion than facts.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

A Young Man's Poem
BY A 15-year-old SCHOOL KID who got an A+ for this entry:
The Lord's Prayer Is not allowed in most US Public schools any more.
A kid in Minnesota, wrote the following
NEW School Prayer:
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State..
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles...
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Feeling Safe?
So many people I know are interested in feeling safe with God, but don't really want Him. They want His stuff but they don;t want Him.
Reading His word for comfort for ourselves has little to do with worshiping Him.
God hates rituals and obligations, He wants our love and devotion.
Amos 5:21-23
"21 “I hate, I reject your festivals,
Nor do I [a]delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 “Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings.
23 “Take away from Me the noise of your songs;
I will not even listen to the sound of your harps."

Its Easier Than You Think
Salvation is so easy most people won't believe it. All one has to do is trust that Christ paid the price for sin for us and begin to trust in Him.
When we trust in Him we will know that He will guide us, discipline us to train us in holiness and everything else that is good for us.
If you still want to do things your own way without His help, then go for it and watch your personal world, emotions and spiritual security crash and burn
When we have trusted Him, He makes us into a new creation and He takes care of everything else too. Hallelujah!!!!
Luke 12:8-10 "8 “I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. 9 But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."

Evaluate Everything!
The Church fellowships within and evangelizes without.
As it was, it is.
«Preaching on the street to the public is a completely different thing than bringing all of society into your dining room. The disciples preached on the street, but the street didn't come into their intimate fellowships within the homes of the disciples.
The Scriptures do teach us to keep certain things away from the ears of the rest of society. The Scriptures teach us to protect the intimacy of our fellowship from being infiltrated with wolves. This is why it is impossible for you to have 4000 friends and protect your online fellowship at the same time. I went from 2000 friends down to 100 friends not because people unfriended me, but because I came to know who should and should not be reading every word that passes through my heart. There is a place of intimacy for your fellowship with brothers and sisters in the Lord, otherwise, that fellowship might not be in the Lord. Should every dog in society know what I am praying about? Better yet, should every dog in society hear me praying?»
