The present state of mind of most people in our country is firmly planted on self and freedom to do and be whatever anyone wants. Many people will go so far as to become angry for others who may not be allowed to do as they please.
2 Timothy 2:22
"So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."
Our culture has been raised to believe that freedom is the most important aspect of our society. Nothing trumps freedom, nothing at all, in the minds of most people.
All we have to do is ask someone what they perceive as the overriding principles that makes America great, their answer will be the freedom. Fearing this loss of freedom brings outrage when the suggestion is raised that we should have standards that benefit all of society and based on Biblical principles.
In these end times the political powers that be and the spiritual realm are indoctrinating people to believe they will have a terrible life if they have to have standards for themselves and worse yet for others we might negatively influence.
In our present state the world is ripe for a leader to come forth who will promise total freedom for all things, as long as they are provided for materially.
Our president Trump has not delayed anything in the world, in fact he may be accelerating things through his staunch but misguided view of morality. I have heard nothing from him condemning immoral acts that have been, in recent years, defended and even promoted. His actions have been focused on the economy, safety and personal wealth. There is no mention about God's principles for living and the need for repentance for rejecting most of them.
The superficial fixes our president is pursuing are going to serve to frustrate and anger an already enraged culture that is not used to the word, "NO."
I am not saying Trumps actions thus far are wrong, I am saying they are the wrong focus, wrong in the sense that the important moral and ethical questions of godliness are being ignored.
Isaiah 5:20-21 "…20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!
We are going to see, in my humble opinion, more violence than ever before because of the changes that are being made in our country. The changes are not necessarily bad, some are even good, but they will enrage an already completely rebellious world who loves their power and their sin.
There is no reprieve for this country as some think Trump will bring, but rather an acceleration of lawlessness everywhere in the world.
The world is becoming increasingly violent, acting like a pack of wild wolves or spoiled children who are determined to have their way no matter who they hurt.
God has allowed and even facilitated the election of Trump, but not for the reasons his supporters think. I am convinced that this is the next step in the progression of world collapse in everything. When the world is in such turmoil and fear, they are more likely to beg for a leader who will save them, that leader will be the anti-christ.
Just as the Bible states, the world will be as a woman in labor. A woman in labor has a little false labor in the beginning to prepare the body for what is coming. After awhile the false labor subsides, a sort of rest until the real pangs of child birth begin. We may very likely be in the lull between the false labor and the real labor, right now.
When the pangs return, they will be full blown and unstoppable. We are not in a reprieve to save the United States of America, we are merely in the lull before the storm, soon everything will increase and unrelenting until the child of rebellion emerges into total lawlessness.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12
" 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?
6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains (the Holy Spirit) will do so until he is taken out of the way.
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and [h]signs and false wonders,
10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,
12 in order that they all may be [m]judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness."
Matthew 24
