Perhaps we will leap for joy when we realize the miracle we are living in these last days before the tribulation. I shared this with a brother in the chat this morning.
Yes, imagine communicating across the world in a matter of seconds with someone we have never met in person, it's a miracle for us in these last days to have fellowship with believers.
I cannot begin to know how this whole internet science works but I know that it could only be allowed by the power of God designed for these end times when we are experiencing a dearth of fellowship in our own communities.
Many believers are expressing their frustration at finding a Scripture-believing church that actually seeks the word of God to obey Him.
So many people do not read their Bibles but feel empowered to repeat whatever their favorite preacher says without ever examining it to see if it is truly Biblical.
The internet has allowed us to find through the help of the Holy Spirit believers across the world, communicating with them from our own living room in real-time.
I wonder if those who mock social media understand this is a miracle from God and if used for Him it is a blessing far beyond what the writers of the Bible could imagine. Perhaps if the mockers really understood God's purpose for the internet and believers they would stop their mocking and get busy preaching online.
Not all of us can be well-recognized preachers, most of us are nobodies anyone would know or remember but we can still obey God and speak His truth in our own little sphere on the internet.
Remember too that God loves to use the unimpressive things and the unimpressive people to carry out His command to go into all the world.
We need not try to elevate ourselves hoping to become someone special, it is only when we know we are nothing and Christ is everything that we can glorify Him while paying little to no attention to ourselves when it comes to notoriety. Personally, I am happy being a nobody, it comforts me that I don't look to impress anyone, it makes me free to say and be whatever God wants me to say and be as well as protects me from the temptation of pretentiousness.
1 Corinthians 1:27 "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;"
Next time someone tells you that you are nobody special say; "Thank you, I know that I am nothing and that Christ is everything." There is no better place to be spiritually than being nothing while Christ is everything to us and in us.
John 3:30-35
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 “He who comes from above is above all; the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
32 What He has seen and heard, of this He testifies; and no one accepts His testimony.
33 The one who has accepted His testimony has certified that God is true.
34 For He whom God sent speaks the words of God; for He does not give the Spirit sparingly.
35 The Father loves the Son and has entrusted all things to His hand."
When we glory we glory in Christ and not ourselves or anyone else.
