When Our Minds are on Christ

When our mind is where it should be on Jesus Christ then our actions will be what pleases Him.

Those who walk in disrespect and anger as a lifestyle are self-focused not Christ focused.

James 4:8

"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded"

1 Peter 2:9

"For you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession"

Philippians 3:19–20

"Set your mind on glory above. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things"

This is the reason I am against the continual rumination of political things, they distract us from Christ and His purposes for us on this earth.

Yes, we do works, but works that He has prepared for us not what others think we should do.

2 Timothy 4:2

Paul says, "Preach the word. Be ready to do it whether it is convenient or inconvenient".

1 Peter 3:15,16

Peter says, "When anyone asks you to speak of your hope, be ready".

Ephesians 2:10

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do".

May we be seeking Christ for His will not our own.
