God Can Keep Us From the Influence of the Devil

1 Peter 5:8-9 " Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings."

 
We are being bombarded daily with attacks of the devil, in our minds to confuse us, and in our relationships to cause doubt about our walk with Christ as those who say they are Christians work to distract us from the truth by adding lies to Scripture and calling it truth.

When we know the devil is busy ruining righteousness we can refuse to follow even if that means being alone with Christ Who lives in us.

 
John 14:16-17
"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you."

2 Corinthians 13:11
"Finally, brothers, rejoice! Aim for perfect harmony, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you."
