The Choices We Make

Hallelujah one day we will be released from this fleshly body and given a new one!!!!

People are not animals who respond to stimuli.

Human beings can and have been mean to someone because they did something nice and it makes the other person feel guilty. People operate from self more than they do from unselfishness.

Animals operate from instinct for survival. If you show kindness and love to an animal they will respond with loyalty.

Human beings often show contempt when they are shown love because they interpret love in terms of what they get out of something rather than what might be good for them.

Proverbs 27:6

All of the above verses have to do with discipline to redirect the human heart toward goodness. Because the human heart is more inclined toward selfishness that leads to everything evil it must continually be reminded to focus on righteousness.

Those who do not reflect godliness will do what comes naturally, its not instinct but choices that man is faced with every day. They can choose to follow their fallen nature or they can choose to follow Christ Who changes our nature when we become born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17
"17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, [a]he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

The old fallen nature remains in our bodies and must be battled again by the new nature. Animals can be trained to respond to stimuli but human beings must have a changed nature all together to be able to resist the old nature.

"6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin."

Romans 6:18
"18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness."

Romans 7:14-25 "14 For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.
15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.
16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.
17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

1 John 2:15-17

Do Not Love the World
"15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever."

We are to Warn One another of Sin

1 Corinthians 3:15…14 If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames. 16 Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?…

Remember Ananias and Sapphirah, they lied to the Holy Spirit and God killed them for it. These were two born again believers who were punished as an example for the rest of the church that God hates sin and there will be consequences.

Not every believer who sins dies but some do. God will not stand still for our willful rebellion against Him without consequences.

Acts 5:1-11 "5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and kept back some of the price for himself, with his wife’s [a]full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not [b]under your control? Why is it that you have [c]conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” 5 And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last; and great fear came over all who heard of it. 6 The young men got up and covered him up, and after carrying him out, they buried him."
7 Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 And Peter responded to her, “Tell me whether you sold the land [d]for such and such a price?” And she said, “Yes, [e]that was the price.” 9 Then Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.” 10 And immediately she fell at his feet and breathed her last, and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things."

Does this not demonstrate how serious sin against God is and that there will be a come-up-ence either here or at the judgment seat of Christ. No un-confessed sin will go unnoticed by God.

Every believer should be warned about their sin to save them from judgement and loss of rewards later.

When the Devil is in Control

The classic narcissistic trick, the "Golden Child" that is the liberal can do no wrong therefore everything he does is ignored if its bad or praised if it was good. Even if the good thing they do was first done by someone else the narcissist will claim it for their own as though the conservative never did it.

But the conservative is the "scapegoated child", that is the one who can do no right. Even when they do something good the narcissist frames it as bad, every single thing all the time. All we have to do is watch the news media as they poke at our president continually most often without cause.

This twisted thinking is present in every venue of life. In the family, the churches, the government and every place in between.

The devil is using this tactic far more than any other in these last days. Since lying is not a problem for the demon controlled narcissist they can say and do anything they like, it doesn't have to actually be true, only that it works for them.

Since narcissists are controlled by devils it makes sense that they would use lying as often and freely as the devil himself would and that those lies would always demean and mock God. After all the real target of the devil is Christ.

The devil lies against God and then brings in his flying monkeys to believe his lies. The devil is the ultimate narcissist, lying while engaging others to be on his side to lie against God as well as God's people.

The narcissist is never happy just being hateful all by himself, he must recruit others to hate his target too.

The Blessing of Flowers

God blessed me with beautiful flowers this year. I didn't know they would do well here and was pleasantly surprised! Hallelujah!
