Parental Abandonment on Steroids

One teacher described "parental estrangement" as an epidemic in our time. There is a new term now, "elder abandonment" to describe senior citizens who are neglected by their own children, ignored, and even completely abandoned by selfish children.
Notice that this epidemic is in direct proportions to the level of teaching of self-esteem over the past 50 years. 50 years ago we didn't talk back to our parents even if we didn't agree with them. If they were mean we took it and did not retaliate because they were our parents. We loved them no matter how they acted toward us, even blessing them in spite of the treatment.
When our parents disciplined us we learned from it and restrained and changed our behaviors that were not acceptable. In our day now the slightest chastisement or training is treated with such contempt that the parent is cut off from their adult children and their grandchildren.
The in-law children have been treated so special by their parents that they reject any instruction at all from their in-laws, not just rejecting the instruction but treating the in-law parents with contempt, turning the natural child away from their own parents.
Our culture has trained the children to think only of themselves leading to the fulfillment of the 2 Timothy 3 prophecy that describes the angst and selfishness present in our culture today. When we know this is prophesied and due to the cultural bent toward pure evil we do not have to blame ourselves for what is happening. Remember the devil is good at blaming us for things he is doing and we are not. We see this in personal relationships too by those who only love themselves.
There is no perfect parent just as there is no perfect child, we are to love one another because God called us to love imperfect people. Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Those who love others do not hold imperfection against anyone. We care deeply about the person even when they do not reach a standard we think they should have.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
PerilousTimes (ragingly insane) Will Come
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, [a]haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
Correction is the new "hate speech", even the slightest disagreement is met with rage and hatred by many if not most people.
This culture flies by the seat of its emotions rather than thinking rationally and reasonably to discern the truth that might bring wisdom. Few people want to grow better, most are content to be whatever they want to be doing whatever is right in their own eyes without regard to God's principles and truths.
When wisdom is rejected in favor of emotion, relationships are destroyed with an unlikely possibility of reconciliation.
The devil played upon the emotions of Eve in the garden to get her to distrust God and go her own way. Rather than seeking God for her direction she just believed the devil and went with her own desire to be like a god. This is what we are dealing with in child-rearing today, except in recent years, on steroids.
Matthew 10:20-22 "…20 For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.…"
I remember back in the 1970s when Christians argued with me to defend self-esteem. They came against corporal discipline even though God told us to use the rod.
Because those who wanted to obey the Word did what God taught, they were seen as the mean irrational parents in the community. Even their own children compared them with other parents who didn't teach and discipline, learning to despise their own parents for not being like the rest of the culture.
Often Bible-believing parents who actually practiced God's ways were mocked and shunned for their resolve to obey God. This taught the children of the godly parents to compare them with the other parents and reject their own parents along with the culture.
This ought to bring comfort to us knowing even with our warts and flaws we did the best we could attempting to love our children God's way.
It is not surprising that these attitudes are increasing when we know we are in the last of the last days. Things are growing worse as we approach the time when the church will be taken out. These are the days just like the days of Noah in which the general populous of the earth will not understand truth and do not want to understand.
May we draw comfort from knowing these things and moving on to serve the Lord without those who do not want Him, we have great joy at what we know is coming.
Philippians 3:14 “14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
When others don’t love us we know there is One Who does, even dying for us He will never abandon us!!!
Hebrews 13:5 “5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
It is possible to be hated by all family members, move on from them and live a joyful fulfilled life without them. We can pray for them if we choose, but there is no shame in choosing a better life with those who know God’s love and walk with Him. Hallelujah!!!

David Jeremiah Sermons 2022 - End Times People - A Biographical Prophecy

Dr. David Jeremiah FULL Sermons (4/9/2022) - THE PRETENDERS - Must Hear!

Worshiping Anywhere at any Time

Amen, this is exactly how I feel about the virus we have been dealing with. I am convinced it was God who let this happen so that we could take a good look at ourselves and discern whether or not we have been trusting Christ.
I noticed all our pleasure venus were shut down, the churches were closed showing us that we were placing our trust in those buildings and paid pastors. I wonder how many people worshiped at home while the doors of buildings were closed to them?
I never remember a time when our family worshiped or read the Bible at home even though they went to a building called a church, without any contact with other churchgoers during the week.
This pandemic was used of God to show us how distracted by everything we have been and that we do not know we can worship at home without a building and without a paid hireling to lead us.
Modern Christianity has been depending on buildings and people instead of Christ for their spirituality fix for generations now. Our worship in these buildings has become ritual, leaving people the inability to worship if they are not in those buildings with that pulpit person to teach them.
I wonder how many people did not worship at home when the buildings closed? I wonder how many did not read their Bibles while the buildings were shut down?
From the angry responses to it as well as the fear I suggest that most Christians were floundering without the ability to read or worship without that building or that hireling to do it for them.
Just some sobering thoughts about the condition of the modern church that places their trust in a building and a man and not in Christ.
"

The economic depression of 1929 brought misery to millions of people, but let us not forget it brought blessings. One is the knowledge there is something infinitely worse than being forced to work, it is being forced not to work."
- Napoleon Hill 1938
"Outwitting the devil"
Hill believed that there was a blessing to those wounded by the resultant crisis; they were forced to look within and draw upon faith and to create something new. Our prayer should be that our churches, who are struggling thru a "depression" of faith, will, as a people, rise again to embrace that blessing and follow the Holy Spirit to something new.

Christ must be Pre-eminent Always

Romans 6:15 "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!"
1 Corinthians 10:23
"23 All things are permitted, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted, but not all things build people up."
Romans 3:20
'Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin."
Matt. 5:17-18
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled"
John 19:30 "It is finished" On the cross, this was fulfilled.
Acts 18:4–6
"4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5 when Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus. 6 And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, e“Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. from now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
The Jews were under the Law the Gentiles were not. The Law was given as a covenant between God and the Jews. This is why Paul followed the Sabbath and preached on it to the Jews but when he went to the Gentiles he no longer practiced the Sabbath. In fact, the early church met on the first day of the week as their practice.
Acts 20:7 " 7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Since Paul was ready to leave the next day, he talked to them and kept on speaking until midnight. "
Romans 14:4-6 "…4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master, he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. 5 One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.…"
It is legalism to preach that everyone should worship on a particular day. God gave us a choice of which day we worship and some worship every day. The Lord's supper was observed every time the brethren came together.
1 Corinthians 14:26 "26 What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church."
All the brethren participate in the gathering, asking for a song, and bringing scripture while others preach. There are no pew-people and no pulpit people in the gathering when it is done the way God intended. No one has authority over others except the Holy Spirit in every believer.
What a beautiful thing when all the men participate as led by the Holy Spirit. I have seen this practiced, the gathering is all about Christ, no one is prominent above others, and Christ is pre-eminent always.

The Only Teacher We Need is the Holy Spirit

James 1:4-6 "…4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…"
No one has an excuse; "I didn't know", we can all ask God.
It is exciting what God shows us when we simply ask Him to show us anything we believe that is not of Him. When we ask for the strength and resolve to let go of anything we were taught that was not truth He blesses us with exciting answers.
God's Word, the Bible, is so full of wonderful things but without the help of the Holy Spirit to enlighten His Word, we will not understand it as we should. Reading it in our own human minds or according to the culture around us will bring false understanding.
John 16:13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you."
God never said human teachers would lead us into truth, He said it would be the Holy Spirit.
1 John 2:27 "And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you remain in Him."
Those who elevate men above the Holy Spirit to gain their wisdom will walk in continual error. They might believe some right things but much of what they accept for truth will not be according to the Bible.
Romans 3:3-4 "…3 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? 4 Certainly not! Let God be TRUE and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that You may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You judge.”"
Placing our faith in any human teacher is to diminish the Holy Spirit. Everyone we believe we can trust must be compared to the Scriptures, what is not right exposed and what is right taught vigorously. We must never allow any man to take the place of the Holy Spirit and every man no matter how educated must be teachable, if he is not he will fall into arrogance and much error.
2 Timothy 2:23-25 "23 But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to be taught himself, and forbearing. 25 He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth."
Every teacher must be teachable, if he is not he is disqualified to be a teacher.
It is amazing how our modern translations have caused misunderstandings. The KJV of this verse says the teacher must be "able to teach", but in the original language it means "teachable himself."
The ability to teach is in everyone who has the Holy Spirit, we can all be teachers of the word.
Hebrews 5:12-14
"12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the actual words of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.
14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to distinguish between good and evil."
God expects all His children to diligently study to show themselves approved so that they can teach others. When we see a mentality that only those educated by men are able to teach we are negating what God said in His Word. God never commanded anyone to go to a seminary to learn about God, He commanded that we read the word and hear from the Holy Spirit. There can be no better teacher than the Holy Spirit and every born-again believer has Him living in them. Why on earth would I run to a man when I can run to God for my wisdom.

Christianity vs Cults Lines are being Blurred

I am grieved that so many "Christians" are falling into the trap of believing that the cults are just another denomination. They are embracing people who are walking in rebellion against God as though they are brothers and sisters in Christ. This fits with the phrase God uses when He says; "even the elect will be fooled" in the last days.
Ezekiel 13:9
"9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD."
All those cults that follow men, such as Joseph Smith, Ellen G. White, and others began with false visions from the power of devils to create their false Christianity. If we embrace those who follow these false systems we are enabling demonic beliefs as well as negating God's Word that warns us not to have fellowship with these religions based on demonic prophets.
Everyone one of these religions uses their own prophets' books far more than they use the Bible and they interpret the Bible according to their favorite prophets' interpretations not what God actually said. They also add to the scriptures many things that negate as well as being opposite of what God said. They are all works-based religions that teach self-effort to reach heaven.
Seventh-Day Adventism who follow Ellen G. White,
Chrislam mixes some Christianity with Islam
Catholicism that elevates the Pope and Mary above Christ
Christian Science started by Mary Baker Eddy
Jehovah's Witness started by Charles Taze
Mormonism started by Joseph Smith
These cults have a form of religion but deny Christ by their added beliefs that are not in the Bible. They claim they believe in Him but they pervert principles about Him resulting in a different Jesus entirely.
Any version of the gospel that denies the doctrine of grace and says you have to do something to be saved apart from believing in Jesus and repenting of your sins. is a false gospel of works.
With the onset of the ecumenical movement, we have seen a steady growth of "Christians" who are confused about whether or not a cult might be Christian or if they can be saved.
The truth is anyone who remains in a system with a false gospel is endorsing that system. It is my belief that the Holy Spirit would speak clearly to a born-again believer to get out of a system that is based on false doctrine from a prophet after the Bible was written.
We have no need for more prophets, God gave us all we need in the Bible, no new revelation comes from God. All the revelation we need, and all the principles we need are already in the Bible.
Someone might ask if something is a religion does that mean it is acceptable. The answer is really quite simple, all forms of faith are religions, and even belief in evolution is based on the religion of Darwinism. Christianity is the only faith that is based on a relationship with Christ Who lives in those who have trusted in Him.
It is not a "religion" it is a relationship in which we communicate daily and moment by moment with the Son of God Who is also God and lives in us.
Our relationship with Christ is not based on a human idea of rules and regulations. When Christ lives in us He works in us, He gets all the glory, we are His temple, we have no need of a building we call a temple. We are not following a set of rules but living out the character of Christ Who lives in us.
The fruit of the Spirit of Christ Who lives in us is mentioned here:
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Laws and rules are for the law and rule breakers, we don't need them because we desire to do what is right, we are not forced or fearful we love God's ways.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 "16 Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.…"
I have no need for a law that says I should not steal because I don’t want to steal, I hate stealing, it is not a part of who I am in Christ.
Those who like to steal must have a law to keep them from stealing. Those who steal want to do it therefore they need a law to deter them.
1 Timothy 1:8-10 …8 Now we know that the law is good if one uses it legitimately. 9 We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching.”
One of the things that is happening in these end times in preparation for people to accept the antichrist is the blurring of lines between true Christianity and the cults. More and more "Christians" are defending cults as being just another denomination when in fact they are abominations to God.
Matthew 7:15
"15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
These wolves are all around us, they pretend Christianity but negate the Bible, the character of Christ as well as His sacrifice on the cross through their belief that we can add anything to what He did to save ourselves. This is horrendous and against everything, the Bible teaches.
Beware, do not believe someone simply because they are "nice people." One of the tactics of the devil is to come as an angel of light disarming weak people who do not know the Bible.
2 Corinthians 11:13-14 "…13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. "
Sincerity, happiness and friendliness are not evidence of truth in someone's life. Test the spirits to see if they are of God, many are going to be fooled by flowery language and pleasant sounding events.
