We Fight Against Demons in Prayer

Ephesians 6:12
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Next time we feel compelled to fight against a person, it might be good to remember that the person who does evil is merely responding to the promptings of demons.

2 Thessalonians 3:2 "And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith."

It is only those who have the Holy Spirit who have the ability to resist the devil.  Non-believers have no strength, ability or inclination to resist the devil they are completely at his mercy.

James 4:7 "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

We are either at the mercy of the devil or the mercy of Christ. Satan's mercy is deepest evil at best, his hate knows no bounds, his ruinous activities destroy everything he touches.

Christ's mercy is life and an eternal paradise with Him Who possesses perfect and lasting love.
