Next time someone says that we cannot know a person's heart, remember that this mantra came out of psychology not the Bible.
We know a persons heart by their actions. A good heart cannot do wicked actions. A kind heart does not think selfishly. God made it clear that our actions prove our heart.
Matthew 15:18-19 "18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.…"
We cannot know if someone is going to heaven or hell because we don't know if they will become saved or not. Sometimes we cannot tell if they are saved or not, but the clues are there and we can challenge those who walk disobediently, to ask God if they are born again, because their fruit is bad.
2 Corinthians 13:5 " 5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you actually fail the test? "
