Narcissist Punishes Others

Those who live with narcissism every day of their life will be regularly punished for not being perfect. Even though no one is, those who pick on people, must think they are or they would not shame those they think are not.

Shaming others for not doing what they do or liking what they like is a typical tactic of the narcissist.

We are seeing this in families and in the political arena. Adult tantrums, if we can call them that, emerge when the narcissist does not hear what they want to hear. Whenever they are prevented from view themselves in high standing, they rage with anger.

Proverbs 15:31-33 "…31 He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof Will dwell among the wise. 32 He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding. 33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.…"

One cannot be a narcissist or have lots of narcissistic traits and still be humble. They may claim they are humble, perhaps not saying it but pretending a dishonest, false humility that fades quickly when they are told they need to rethink a matter, that perhaps it wouldn't be a good thing to do. They are quick to point out things to others, but cannot take it from others.

Proverbs 1:22 "22"How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge? "

Narcissists love knowledge but not so they can improve their spiritual inner man, they love it to show off to others how much they know. We have many narcissists in the pulpits today who think themselves to be wise when they recommend a book or movie such as, "The Shack."

Romans 1:22 " 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools,"

2 Timothy 3:7-8 " 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.…"

We might want to ask ourselves if we are learning more and more all the time to glorify God and become a better Christian, or are we learning continually to impress others, or to appear superior.

We have more knowledge in the church today than ever before, but it is demonic knowledge, doctrines of demons.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 "1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, 2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.…"
