Trust in the Christ Alone

For all those people who are intrigued with "future telling" and miracles that make them feel special, I am here to tell you that people like Jonathan Cahn are laughing all the way to the bank as they bring many false teachings while those that elevate them are lapping up all his books and videos.

Sadly Cahn is doing exactly the same things as all the other prosperity preachers, teaching that believers are "little gods", that looking into the future through cryptic and vague visions are perfectly alright with God.

God abhors future telling, has forbidden it and is not giving message to people like Cahn as he claims, they are merely ploys of the devil to focus believers on the future and events rather than on Christ Himself.

Leviticus 20:6
“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."

God made it very clear that we were not to seek visions and dreams. The Jews will experience authentic dreams of Christ, but not of future telling. There is no need for future telling when God gave us everything we need to know in the Bible.

If we have a need for anything other than what Christ, the Word, gave us in the Bible, then we lack faith, needing to be propped up all the time to maintain our fervor for Christ, we ultimately end up following man rather than our Savior.

There are Muslims who are becoming saved because Christ has appeared to them with the gospel....you see, they don't have the Bible where they are, nor do they have missionaries, because of this the Lord is coming Himself. However, He is not coming to give them future events, He is coming to speak of Himself and their salvation through Him, if they trust Him.

Leviticus 20:27
“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

1 Corinthians 4:6 "6 Brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over another. "

Did we get this "do not go beyond what is written. We have no need, when we walk by faith, to see any future events for anyone or for the nation. All we need is to trust the Bible and what is written there.

If we trust the Holy Spirit He will give us personal specifics when the time is needed. If we cannot trust the Holy Spirit, feeling a need to look to men and their false visions, then we lack faith and will be drawn into foolishness, unprofitable to us and anyone else watching us.

The bottom line is this: When we trust Christ for salvation, we must then learn to trust Him for each day. All His principles that are needed are in the Bible, right there for all to read, no need to go anywhere else.

Psalm 34:1-22
"34 I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, O children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is there who desires life
and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones;
not one of them is broken.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned."
