Make Sure of What God Really Said

There are those who are using this passage to say that if a woman divorces her husband and marries another then divorces that second husband, she can never return to the first husband. This is not true, God said this is what the people say, but God said something different. Israel is a picture of the adulterous wife and yet will return to God someday.

Let's remember not to make scripture say what man wants it to say, but be sure to read what God actually said.

Jeremiah 3:1
"THEY SAY, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; YET RETURN AGAIN TO ME, SAYS THE LORD.
