By Faith Alone!

We know that one who has been born of the Spirit remains saved and is cleansed by God continually. NO one who is born again turns back, they are changed into a new creation as a butterfly emerges from the cocoon, it can never turn back into a worm again.

Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?"

Amazing how God gives us example in nature to show us His design. When God changes us we cannot be changed back by our own works any more than we worked to gain what He gave us by faith and through His grace.

Ephesians 1:13-14 "13 And in Him you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, having heard and believed the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. 14 The Spirit is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.…"

You see, its God's work in us, His keeping of us and His returning for us. The only thing that was ours was our faith in Him.

Romans 10:17
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."

Ephesians 2:7-8 "…7 in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.…"
