There are most likely more unsaved professing Christians than there are authentic born again believers in our world today.
Matthew 7:12-14 "13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it."
Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
I thought about this the other day and God opened my eyes to a truth. Often I wondered what God meant when He said it would be as in the days of Noah and Lot.
I knew it meant that everyone would do what is right in their own eyes and no one would listen to truth and warnings. Then I realized too that only one family was saved in Noah's and Lot's day, and in the rapture there will be only one family, the family of born again believers.
And not all of the people in those families were saved, the son in laws of Lot were not saved and many relatives of Noah's were not saved. In the rapture there will be many professing Christians who are left behind because they had not trusted Christ but only pretended to do so.
When we go in the rapture many family members will not be going with us.
