To any born-again believer who feels less than capable of sharing the gospel.
Exodus 4:10-13—And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou has spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue."
Jeremiah had misgivings about being used by God.
""Ah, Sovereign Lord, I do not know how to speak; I am only a child." God answered, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you ..."
Jeremiah 20:8-9 "8 For whenever I speak, I cry out; I proclaim violence and destruction. For the word of the LORD has become to me a reproach and derision all day long. 9 If I say, “I will not mention Him or speak any more in His name,” His message becomes a fire burning in my heart, shut up in my bones, and I become weary of holding it in, and I cannot prevail."
Jeremiah 1:6-7 "6“Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I surely do not know how to speak, for I am only a child!” 7 But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak.…"
God most often uses people who are not talented to show that it was HIM that empowered those who speak the gospel message. God does not want prideful people who think they are special, He wants people who are willing to be used of Him so that they and others know it is God Who does the work in us and not ourselves.
God is the One Who equips those He calls, no one is able to be used of God by their own studies or merits, we must all seek Him to empower us then He will get the glory. AND, yes every single born-again believer has this power to do what God wants them to do.
Philippians 4:13
"13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
We are not empowered to do our own will for our own glory, we are empowered to do what God tells us to do, if we obey we will have what we need when we need it. Hallelujah!
