The days fly by so quickly sometimes it's hard to remember what happened just a few days ago or even yesterday. This is how quickly time is passing.
One day we will see the glory of the Lord, and not far away is our homegoing.
We waste so much time on the things of this life thinking if we don't do them we will miss out on something.
"19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful."
I find it to be important to ask the Lord what He wants for me today because it will pass quickly and I want it to be fruitful. We do not know what influence we had with someone just going about our daily business.
There is a saying; "more is caught than taught", I think this is particularly true of children watching how their parents interact with others. Children will take on the attitudes of their parents without the parents saying a word.
I have seen often in my life the truth that 97% of communication is non-verbal and only 3% is words. We carry on our faces and in our body language our attitudes without even realizing it.
Perhaps today ought to be the day we pray that the Holy Spirit would shine through us greater than He did the day before. If the Holy Spirit is doing it in us it will not be counterfeit or forced, it will be real, genuine, and without effort.
Romans 8:9-17 "9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12 So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—
13 for if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God.
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him."
There is no greater legacy than belonging to Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit and the God who made the universe lives in us.
Hallelujah!!!!
