Narcissists know they are treating their target disrespectfully. If they didn't know they would listen when told how disrespectful they are and perhaps even be more careful next time.
However, instead of correcting their attitude they rage in anger or the vulnerable narcissist will cry as though they are the victim.
One thing they never do is admit or apologize for their disrespect and disregard.
The narcissist is claiming flaws in others that really belong to themselves. They lay all their bad attitudes and disrespectful ways at the feet of others who do not act the way the narcissist does.
Because of the nature of narcissism and their need to be superior, they must always come out on top, ahead of the class, and never wrong in any given situation.
Born-again believers apologize often over the smallest matters because they hate hurting others. Narcissists don't care if they agitate and demean others, in fact, it is food for them.
Narcissists will only feign compassion or caring when it offers them something, as soon as it no longer works for them they will quickly revert to their old angry selves.
Narcissists are angry on the inside all the time without realizing it. They are easily offended because of this ever-present resentment. No one blows up at minor things unless there is already vexation raging inside. Fear dominates the heart of the narcissist.
Proverbs 22:24-25 " 24 Do not make friends with an angry man and do not associate with a hot-tempered man, 25 or you may learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.…"
Proverbs 29:22-27
"An angry man stirs up strife, And a hot-tempered man abounds in transgression. A man’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor. He who is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He hears the oath but tells nothing. The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted. Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for man comes from the LORD. An unjust man is abominable to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is abominable to the wicked."
God always contrasts the wicked with the righteous so that we can see a clear difference between the ways of Christ and the ways of the devil.
