Honoring God or Man?

Jeremiah 23:30-32

"30 Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the Lord, “who steal My words from each other.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the Lord, “who use their tongues and declare, ‘The Lord declares!’

32 Behold, I am against those who have prophesied false dreams,” declares the Lord, “and reported them and led My people astray by their lies and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them nor command them, nor do they provide this people the slightest benefit,” declares the Lord."

We are living in the days when there are more lies being preached than truth in many gatherings. People are convinced of things God never said but think it is in the Bible. So much is "off" in the church gatherings it is the evidence that we are living in the last days as described by God in 2 Timothy 3.

It is vital that we question all things we hear and pray for the understanding so that we are not caught up in the cultural Christianity that leads people to honor themselves instead of Christ.

Matthew 15:8-9

8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips,

But their heart is far away from Me.

9 And in vain do they worship Me,

Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”

If we have to walk alone to honor God then let it be a great joy to us, never yearning for the approval of others but only the approval of God. Hallelujah!
