Children do not learn to be kind by a one time experience. They must have encounters with people learning from a lifetime of failures to become wise.
God said we are as little children; we must grow and learn from our experiences in life.
Those who do not learn are those who like their flaws, even calling them strengths. They fight against the growth through stubbornness.
The Holy Spirit sanctifies us throughout our lives. He gives us experiences and teaches us through them.
1 Corinthians 6:10-11 "…10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
Titus 3:5-7
"He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs with the hope of eternal life."
Ephesians 5:26 The Church
"to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,"
The more we seek Christ and read His Word, the more we are cleansed because of our desire to be so; we learn and grow in holiness and wisdom. May we never stop growing and seeking Christ.
