Praying for the salvation of every family member, even those who say they are Christians, must evaluate their own walk to see if they were ever born again.
2 Corinthians 13:5-6 "5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you— unless you actually fail the test? 6 And I hope you will realize that we have not failed the test."
Galatians 6:4
Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else.
James 1:23-24
For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, / and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
Far too many pretenders think all they have to do is "say" they are Christians, and and attend those buildings they call churches and that is the evidence they are saved. The truth is that most who believe they are going to heaven because of what they say are not going to be allowed there.
Matthew 7:21-23 "I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
Pretenders often accuse authentic believers of being the divisive ones, the troublemakers, and those who judge. The truth is that Satan always accuses believers of what his minions are doing, but the believers are not. And, the pretenders have many followers who validate their lies.
We try to warn people about God's judgment, His principles and commands to help, but it is judged as rude or mean.
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
