If you say you are a Calvinist or Armenian, you are disobeying God. Calvin was a mere man with many flaws sprinkled with Catholic thinking. Arminius was a theologian who also had some wrong doctrine.
God specifically said we are not to call ourselves by a man's name.
1 Corinthians 3:3-5 "…3 for you are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and dissension among you, are you not worldly? Are you not walking in the way of man? 4 For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men? 5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role."
If anyone calls themselves by a particular ritual, such as "Baptism," it is the same principle. Using one command or man's name to identify us is to not identify with Christ alone, who lives in us. He alone gets glory. We are to embrace all of the Bible, not only one particular aspect of it.
1 Corinthians 1:10-12
I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction. / My brothers, some from Chloe’s household, have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.”
Romans 16:17 "Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them."
Titus 3:10 "Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition,"
Denominations are disobedience and divisiveness against God!
