Choosing Friends Wisely

In choosing companions and special friends, it is important to note that "bad company corrupts good character", according to 1 Corinthians 15:33.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 Special attention to verse 5
"1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."

Many Christians remain infants in their Spiritual growth because they keep constant company with superficial people who are dedicated to their pleasures and not dedicated to Christ.

They say things like; "we are Bible believers" while disobeying most of the scriptures pertaining to relationships, marriage, disrespect toward those who speak the truth and much more.

Most Christians I have met are embarrassed to speak the name of Jesus Christ in the presence of anyone, even other believers.

We are living in the end times, in which most people who think they are saved have never been born again or are so entrenched in this world that their Spirit is quenched.

Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"

Don't be one of those who are confident they are going to heaven only to hear "I never knew you", when facing the Lord Jesus Christ at their death.
