I just listened to a short quip on a young man being interviewed as to what makes a person someone of value. The young man was asked, "if a mother is depressed and can't take care of her baby, decides to kill it, did that mother do something wrong?"
The answer from the young man was that the child could not contribute anything to anyone, he was not worth saving, but the mother could still be helped. The conclusion was that the mother was of value but the baby was not, it was alright to kill that baby.
If you are not deeply concerned by now about our culture, you must be fairly commatos. When we devalue any human life based on their inability to contribute to society, we become as barbaric as it is possible to be.
Life has value because God made it and only He has a right to determine who lives or dies. Have we lost sight of the fact that even the infirmed contribute to the growth of others by being the subject of service for someone else.
When we have to serve others we develop compassion. We learn to see life from someone else's perspective when we take our minds off of ourselves and place them on the needs of others.
Selfishness in our culture has been elevated to the status of virtue, the opposite of what God told us in His Word.
Deuteronomy 15:11 - For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Proverbs 19:17 - He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Acts 20:35 - I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
1 John 3:17 "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"
1 Timothy 5:8 - But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Ephesians 4:28 - Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Isaiah 58:6-7 "6 [Is] not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 [Is it] not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?"
Proverbs 14:31 - He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
1 John 3:17 - But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
James 1:27 - Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Luke 14:12-14 "12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor [thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
Isaiah 25:4 " For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall."
Proverbs 22:9 - "He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor."
Wow, it seems that all those who think that they have value because they are young and financially prosperous, are above anyone else who is poor, ill or helpless, are valuing things more than people and even worse, things are valued above God's principles. God is so devalued to these up and comers that they even lie against Him.
Islam is a good example of demonic oppression based on the perverted idea that men are valued and women and children are not. God taught the opposite, He place the men in charge of protecting the women and children.
We have crossed the line from disobedience to God into demonic doctrines paraded about as righteous. I have been on this earth for 62 years, I have never seen things as bad as they are right now, with no letting up.
This sounds like doom and gloom, yes it is! There is only one hope for mankind, that is to turn to Christ before He comes and destroys all this mess. For the believer this is good news and our hope, but for the unbeliever it is frightening.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Take the Focus off the Physical and Place it on the Spiritual
God is much more concerned about our spiritual growth than what is going on physically. The physical affords us the lessons necessary for the spiritual.
When we focus almost entirely on being healed, we miss the wonderful lessons that come from the trials of life.
We don't enjoy the trials, but when we go through them with Christ, we can look back and see what amazing things happened in our soul as we submitted to Christ.

How to Know When a Muslim is Lying....His lips will be moving!
This video was recommended by a facebook friend, I will be listening later today, but thought I would share it before I listen to save it in case it gets lost. There are two parts, so don't forget to move to part 2 after hearing the first part.

God Gives Wisdom To Those Who Want It
I was asked several years ago if I thought Catholics could be saved, I replied with "can protestants be saved?" They looked at me as though they didn't understand.
As a former Catholic, I can more easily see the similarities, the gods are just different. The gods of the Protestant church are seminary students, grads or "Pastors."
The congregations think that you cannot know the Word or truth if you don't have a degree or been ordained by man in those institutions.
I was actually told I couldn't know about a matter because I had not gone to Bible school. I replied by asking another question; "Oh, does the Holy Spirit only go to Bible School?"
Often "Protestants" think they are better or different from Catholics, they are not. Many non-denominational groups have man made traditions, they are just different from the ones in the Catholic church.
Few people who claim to be "Christian" actually read the Bible for themselves. They don't pray or seek God for wisdom or the matters of life. I know this because their answers to life experience are not Biblical.
No one has an excuse for not knowing God's desires, all we have to do is read the Word and ask for the understanding from the Holy Spirit. Of course those who are not born again will not get answers from God, the key is to become born again, then we will have an in with God for answers.
Psalm 66:18 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:"
James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
If we didn't read the Word of God, asking Him for wisdom, we have no reason to expect answers from Him.

Part 2 of "I could be wrong....but I don't think I am."
The moral of this story is that we have neglected God in favor of pleasure to such a degree that we can no longer think in terms of God, but exclusively think every day about protecting our own rights pertaining to personal freedom.
God has been used as a puppet to bark orders at, as though He has an obligation to do our bidding. The prosperity preachers are partly to blame for this selfish, and yes, godless mentality. The "name it and claim it" crowd have integrated into their false worship the very tenets of paganism, thinking that all we have to do is say something and it appears in front of us. We are prideful enough to think that's how America got where it is as a world power. Forgetting that we would not have become powerful had it not been for the believers here, who desired to obey God.
We have been hammered for 50 years now with phrases like "we have a right", "just speak it and it is yours." Lies from the pit of hell have twisted our brains making us puppets to them.
Many Christians are incensed that anyone would have the audacity to rebuke or correct anyone else. Fighting occurs regularly among believer, like spoiled children who refuse to be disciplined. We have demanded our own way so often, we cannot fathom the fact that we have no rights to anything, that God has all the rights to everything.
When Christ becomes a means to our personal end, we know we have crossed the line from devotion to blasphemy.
Christ died for us, after that He expects us to repent and trust Him. He expects us to ask Him continually for HIS will, while leaving behind our own.
Matthew 7:26 "And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:"
Our government has built the nations "house" upon the sand. They use a few of God's principles to protect the country, but for the most part they are ignoring the Bible, Christ and godly principles, even coming against Him.
We have used God as a puppet, I believe for the last time. Even God's patience can run out. Time after time we have claimed to love God but ignored His words and principles.
It won't be long now, we will no longer be "America" as we have known it. Our laws are going away, our Christian principles are ignored by nearly everyone, while many are defending their sinful evil practices openly without shame.
Jeremiah 8:12 ""Were they ashamed because of the abomination they had done? They certainly were not ashamed, And they did not know how to blush; Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time of their punishment they shall be brought down," Says the LORD."
Why has our president been able to carry out his deception, lying continually to the people of this country? The answer is simple, the people as a whole really don't care much about holiness, God's principles or one another. Only in a selfish distracted country can his tactics work. Fear abounds in the state houses, fear of losing the next election, fear of getting caught over sinful behavior, fear of losing power and position.
Fear dominates a culture when God is no longer there season for our actions. A fearful animal is a dangerous animal. Anyone who has been raised around animals know that if an animal is fearful, he is more likely to attack. Horses know that a fearful human is dangerous, they will be in a defensive stance when a fearful human approaches them.
We are a nation in fear, fooling ourselves that God is protecting us to make ourselves feel better, but in fact we know deep in our soul, we deserve discipline, and deep in our soul we are fearful of what is coming.
Those who know Christ as their personal Savior are not fearful because they have Christ living in them. However, they know that nearly everyone around them is living in fear in one form or another, making everyone defensive and dangerous.
There is hope for the believer, they are looking to their eternal home, knowing that all that goes on now has been foretold in the Bible. They are not being caught off guard and do not live in fear as the unbeliever does. As believers we can go through anything God has for us, knowing that He has a purpose and knew about it before it happened, while going through it with us.
For the non-believer I say, turn to Christ for your salvation, without Him there is no protection for you. For the believer I say, keep looking up, knowing where ever God leads you He goes with you.

I could be wrong......but I don't think I am.
Our president is Islamic, about that I am right, and supports the terrorism we have been seeing around the world.
He has been doing everything he can to undermine America and we can expect the same bombings here that we see in other countries.
We are in for a rough time. I also don't believe there will be another election. I admit I could be wrong, but I can't see him giving up the power as our first dictator that he has enjoyed. Congress has allowed him to take over because they foolishly thought they had to protect a "Democrat", for the sake of the next brother that would want to be elected. It is going to come back to bite them.
He has been acting like a dictator in every way, it has gone so far now that the government will not be able to remove him without arresting him and that would cause race riots as well as Islamic uprising all over the world.
The congress lives in fear of doing to him what should have been done a long time ago, which is to arrest him for treason, ignoring the constitution while undermining the power of congress.
We are so used to our freedom and the checks and balances of a representative democracy that we don't think it can happen here.
I am here to tell you IT CAN!!!
When the people are distracted with their pleasure continually, they no longer have much interest in who runs their government, as long as they can keep having their fun.
Proverbs 21:17 "He who loves pleasure will become a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not become rich."
1 Timothy 5:6 "But she who gives herself to wanton pleasure is dead even while she lives."
James 5:1 "Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you."
Job 21:14-15 ""They say to God, 'Depart from us! We do not even desire the knowledge of Your ways. 'Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him, And what would we gain if we entreat Him?'"
Ecc. 7:4 "The mind of the wise is in the house of mourning, While the mind of fools is in the house of pleasure."
