How To Change Sinful Behavior
Our sinful behavior will only change when we are able to confess our sin. Without confession, behavior remains the same.
If our confession is not sincerely authentic, only expressed to make things better, then behavior will not change either.
In order to change our behavior we must admit our sin, confess it openly, then and only then will our heart be changed bringing on a different attitude and behavior.
1 John 1:9
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Is the Chip Itself the Mark
There are some people who think if someone gets the chip in the hand, they are taking the mark of the beast. The chip is only the vehicle through which the beast will place his number, if in fact it really is the vehicle.
When someone takes the mark they will know they are taking the mark in allegiance to the beast, they will know they are going to follow him.
A Christian will not take that mark, realizing God will take care of them. No one will accidentally or unknowingly take the mark, it will be a conscious on purpose action on the part of the person taking it.
It is possible that if the Lord tarries some will be taking the chip for other reasons, but it will not yet have the mark in it.
There were people who thought the tattoos on the Jews in World War II, was the mark.
Then when the VISA card came along they thought it was that. I do not think that the chip is the mark, but I think the beast may use the chip when he comes on the scene.
Just to be clear, I don't want that chip in my hand, just because I don't want a foreign object in my hand. I don't even like tattoos because of the damage to the body.

"If" or "I did it"
If you confront someone about their action toward you and they say, "if I did anything wrong I am sorry", then you know they are not sorry because they don't believe they did anything or they wouldn't say "if."
When we are guilty and we know it, we say, "I am sorry I did that to you." Not, "I am sorry you were offended, that is another way of placing the blame on us for being offended.
If someone is truly sorry, they feel bad, they express exactly what they did and ask forgiveness.
James 5:16 "16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. "
We know a righteous man can sin by these passages. Righteous men are the ones who confess. Unrighteous men do not confess, they excuse themselves or deny their guilt.
When we are guilty and we know it, we say, "I am sorry I did that to you." Not, "I am sorry you were offended, that is another way of placing the blame on us for being offended.
If someone is truly sorry, they feel bad, they express exactly what they did and ask forgiveness.

Silly Arguments to Hide Sin
Atheists and liberals cannot be consistent. They will accuse you of being judgmental while judging that you are judgmental.
A woman once told me that I shouldn't tell people they were wrong, while she was telling me I was wrong.
When there is only emotion without wisdom in comments they can be very silly.

Hostile or Ashamed?
These verses were written to born again believers.
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
Also written to believers:

Only believers have an advocate with the Father! Yes believers do sin, but the difference between believers and non-believers, is that believers hate their sin and are tormented by them, they eventually confess and forsake. Non-believers have no conscience over their sin, they love it, brag about it and become hostile when they are told it is sin.
