Did you know that Mormons baptize people who are not Mormon by proxy, into their church. If you are related to a Mormon, if they cannot influence you to join their church, they will get a stand-in to pretend they are you and induct you into their religion without your knowledge.
This is why the Mormon church is so intense about genealogy, their goal is to induct all their families into their religion, even if they don't want to be or know about it.
This is also the reason Mormons are so dedicated to the "family reunion". They want to continually keep track of their relatives, knowing all about them.
Their attempt to baptize dead relatives and relatives who are not Mormon and don't want to be, are futile, foolishly unBiblical. This is partly the reason I have no interest in attending family reunions that are orchestrated and controlled by Mormon relatives.
We are to be with the unsaved long enough to bring the gospel, but that is all, mixing with them merely to enjoy their company violates the Scripture that tells us to "come out from among them."
2 Corinthians 6:17
"17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
If you want to visit a Mormon relative to bring the gospel, then that is a good thing, but if you go and the clear gospel never comes up, then the visit was more about you and them liking you than it was about snatching their soul from the fires of hell.

This has been evident in my entire family of narcissists, they mock and demean me merely for disagreeing or even before I have a chance to finish a thought. I have seen them rage at me for an innocent comment that was good as though something was wrong. My parents were this way and taught my brothers to scapegoat me. I have had to get away from my brothers, they are religious but very unkind people, at least to me, but not to those they wish to impress. These brothers use the "sweet/mean" cycle when I begin to draw back. so I do not go back again. Enough is enough.

For those of you who have been rejected by family members can relate to this. Thankfully the Lord picks us up, validates us and moves us forward to where He wants us to be, Hallelujah!
I am always confused when someone tells me that their friend became a Christian, but watching them there seems to be no change in the way they view life, they are not excited, they even act embarrassed when God is mentioned and most of all there is no joy, when all this is missing I have to wonder if they were really born again.
Many people "join" the Christian club to fit into the fancy people they like to be with, but there is no born again experience, nothing has changed except the title they gave themselves.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
These character qualities should be demonstratively evident, making the person seem like a completely different person, of which they should be if they were changed into a new creation.
Why do so many "Christians" seem bored with Christ or embarrassed to mention His name among families or strangers on the street? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that they remain lacking repentance, but have "decided to take on the title of Christian" without Christ.
Think about it!
Because most people think with their emotions and their own desires, they miss the truth entirely. They want to believe they will continue to be as safe as they have always been, so they concoct a fantasy in their mind that makes them feel safe in their nation. The truth is that they are not only not as safe as they choose to believe, they are in grave danger of the wrath of God. Believers who have trusted Christ have no need to pretend everything is all right. We can face truth no matter how hard it is because we are trusting Christ. Those who walk around with rose colored glasses are likely to lose their faith when their fantasy falls in on itself, but the authentic believer whose joy runs through them no matter what, will hold up during the difficulties. They have no need of pretend safety. Hallelujah!!!!

It's a form of punishment by those who love to control others. I have seen this a lot over the years and have been a target by those who want to control me but have not been able to do it. They will attempt to influence those closest to us to treat us in this depicable way as well, when they cannot control the target.
Cultic systems cannot tolerate anyone who deviates from their idea of godliness, they will punish anyone who evaluates things to see if they are from God. They have a form of religion as 2 Timothy 3 tells us, but do not walk in the Spirit, if in fact they are actually born again. Matthew 7:21-23 shows us what pretenders are like and whether or not God accepts them, it is probably the most frightening scripture in the Bible because it involves those who think they are saved, only to be told on judgement day, this: "I never knew you, get away from me", by Christ.
