Are we Praying or Just Playing

Those who play all the time are not happy unless they are playing. There is fulfillment only in God's purpose in life, without His purpose there is no joy or sense of accomplishment.

Comfort for the Faithful

Psalm 37 (NASB)
Security of Those Who Trust in the Lord, and Insecurity of the Wicked.
A Psalm of David.

37 Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will wither quickly like the grass
And fade like the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and [a]cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light
And your judgment as the noonday.

7 [b]Rest in the Lord and wait [c]patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.
8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath;
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9 For evildoers will be cut off,
But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.
10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more;
And you will look carefully for his place and he will not bethere.
11 But the humble will inherit the land
And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow
To cast down the afflicted and the needy,
To slay those who are upright in conduct.
15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their bows will be broken.

16 Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord sustains the righteous.
18 The Lord knows the days of the [d]blameless,
And their inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And in the days of famine they will have abundance.
20 But the wicked will perish;
And the enemies of the Lord will be like the [e]glory of the pastures,
They vanish—like smoke they vanish away.
21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous is gracious and gives.
22 For those blessed by Him will inherit the land,
But those cursed by Him will be cut off.

23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord,

25 I have been young and now I am old,
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken

35 I have seen a wicked, violent man
Spreading himself like a luxuriant [l]tree in its native soil.
36 Then [m]he passed away, and lo, he was no more;
I sought for him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the [n]blameless man, and behold the upright;
For the man of peace will have a [o]posterity.
38 But transgressors will be altogether destroyed;
The [p]posterity of the wicked will be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in time of trouble.
40 The Lord helps them and delivers them;
He delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
Because they take refuge in Him.

In My Opinion Based on Little Scientific Evidence!

It is my opinion based on little evidence, LOL, just basic horse sense, that arteries do not clog in the heart because of food.

I believe that stress causes the arteries to inflame, and the cholesterol that would normally flow through easily in an unstressed heart, sticks to the stressed heart.

Why do I think this? Because God said that the man who trusts the Lord lives a long life. Those who trust God have far less stress in their lives.

For years we were told not to eat butter, eggs and fat, now many studies show that these things are not only good for us but needed.

The scientific evidence is improving all the time to reveal things that were not discovered before.

When we trust Christ our stress level is dramatically reduced because we give our worries to Him Even in the difficult times we worry less about them than someone who is a non-believer.

Joy carries us through everything that is difficult, because Christ goes through with us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 "5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Psalm 91:1-16
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, ..."

Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

Worry and fear causes health problems. Not all health problems are due to stress, some are there for us to endure for God's purposes for sure, however many things we bring on ourselves because of the stress and worry we allow to encroach.

Increasing Suicide

There has been a 30% increase in the rate of suicide from 1998-2015. Its a demonstration of the growing hopelessness because God has been kicked out of the country.

Because God has been kicked out of the country the divorce rate is more than half in the church as well as the world.

Because there is no repentance or sorrowful feelings required over sinfulness, the nation has absolved people who have no intention of changing their evil behavior.

Evil behavior destroys a nation With the increase in the self esteem teaching we see more lack of joy and respect for elders as well as far less concern about the welfare of others.

With disrespect comes every form of evil. Selfishness has grown exponentially in direct proportions to evil activity. When there is no respect for elders, there is no respect for anyone and no respect for laws.

Come on now, admit it, most people tolerate disrespect in family dynamics just by remaining silent so as not to offend.

In by gone days, if a child was in a room full of family members and showed a level of disrespect, the entire family would openly chastise that child and he would learn not to ever do that again.

In our modern culture the room remains silent and the child gets worse until he grows up to treat his wife the way he was taught to speak to his elders when he was younger. Then the divorce happens, he is once again coddled by family for what is done against him, when he caused it all with his disrespect and dishonesty. This applies to women brats as well as men.

I wonder how many men and woman can relate to this, broken families because a spouse is nothing more than a spoiled brat having tantrums to control others.

"More is caught than taught", and sadly extended family play a role in this by their lack of diligence in correcting bratty children.

Exodus 20:12 "12 Honor your father and mother, so that your days may be long in the land the LORD your God is giving you."

Power of the Mind is no Power at all!

The word of faith movement fosters an attitude of power of the mind. When they proclaim that all one has to do is believe hard enough and what they want will come truth, they are really promoting pagan practices of paganism and witchcraft.

Believers need to be spending their time asking God what He wants rather than declaring to Him what they want.

Romans 12:2
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

Love Requires Repentance

IF you love the offender you will require repentance to be forgiven, this allows the guilt of the offender to bring them to the end of their pride.

If we love offenders we require what God requires, that is sorrow over sin. Without sorrow over sin there is no blessing of cleansing and changing.

Enabling is not love!

Romans 2:4
"4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?"

It is not kind to relieve someone of their guilt before they are sorry for their sin.
