Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
When we realize that Christ is with us all the time in everything, we will have no reason to fear this world or the devil.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Ignore the Attacks, Speak the Truth
We can be completely unaffected by the attacks of those who do not love our God.
Perhaps even moving into an empathy for them because of their misery and lostness.
There was a day when I was more self focused, I agonized over the ill treatment from others. Now I feel sorry for them that they miss the love of the Lord and the blessing of kindness.
Do you find yourself attempting to appease and impress those who are lost without Christ? Or, do you find yourself desiring to warn them about their lost state to bring them under conviction to choose Christ?
If you are working to make people like you then you have a false gospel.
Luke 15:6-7 “And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
Ephesians 2:1-2 “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.”
Luke 15:31-32 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”
Luke 15:4-5 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.”

Stress and Clogged Arteries, Something to Think About
When we trust Christ we have fewer moments of anxiety.
"The man who trusts the Lord lives a long life."
The reason is simple our cholesterol slides right through arteries in the heart that are not narrowed by stress. Stress is the problem with sticking cholesterol not the cholesterol itself.
I am absolutely convinced that high cholesterol has nothing to do with clogged arteries. The arteries constrict during stressful times causing the cholesterol to stick to the walls.
When there is no stress and no constriction then the cholesterol slides right through. I am also convinced that cholesterol is not caused by food but rather by stress.
I am not a scientist but I do have the God of all authentic science living in me.
Perhaps if we counseled people how to trust Christ, giving all their worries to Him, we would see our solution to sticking cholesterol.
Jeremiah 17:6-8 "6 He will be like a shrub in the desert; he will not see when prosperity comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is Him.
8 He will be like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease to produce fruit."

The Foolishness of Fantasy
I once heard a person express that when he is fearful or feels attacked by others he pretends a 300 foot tall Jesus is standing next to him.
This is the silliest and most foolish example I have heard in all my days.
Jesus Christ is not a giant person he is God. He does not have to be tall to be powerful. Christ lives in born again believers, all we have to do is trust Him inside of us. We don't have to imagine something that is a lie just to make us feel better.
When we are trusting Christ we can know the truth about Who He is and be satisfied with His truth, through faith we believe Him.
No need to pretend something that is not truth to work up a false faith. When we are born again we can know the truth and the truth will set us free.
It is not o.k. to make up a lie about God just to make ourselves feel safer. This giant Jesus nonsense is a lie, Jesus Christ is not a 300 feet tall man, He is spirit and He is God.
When Christ was on the earth he was a small man, the stature of a Jewish man of His time. His power was not in his stature, it was in His power as the God and Creator of the universe.
Perhaps its time we begin analyzing every single thing people think are cute and helpful, rejecting silliness that only leads others to fantasize rather than truth in Christ.

False Prophets and their Rebellion
Joyce Meyers is a prosperity heretic!! If you have been following her please repent and go to the Lord to reveal to you what you have not been able to see.
There are many preachers like her today who are making people feel wonderful about themselves but have no interest in the Bible as their source of truth.
If you do not believe me about Meyers do not come to argue with me just go to prayer and read your Bible.
Matthew 7:15-20
A Tree and Its Fruit
15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 So then, you will know them by their fruits."

1 John 4:1-2 "1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,…"
There are those who will read from the Bible, even know much about it but they deny Christ through the false teachings and through negating of much of the parts of the Bible they don't like.
Not everyone who says they believe in Jesus Christ are born again.
John 14:15-16 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
The devil knows all the right things to say, even some right things to do but he is sneaky and tricky, he can make a wrong thing look right, deceiving many. The devil knows the Word of God better than any human being.
John 14:21
Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."
Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."
John 14:23
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.
John 15:10
If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and remain in His love.
If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and remain in His love.
1 John 2:3
By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.
By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.
1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
2 John 1:6
And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.
And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.
Wow, the desire to keep God's commandments must be an integral part of the person who is a new creation in Christ.
Apostasy Report - The Fall Of Calvary Chapel (The Video They Want Destro...
We are living in apostate times. We are much better off reading the word, praying in the Holy spirit and avoid any preacher that is popular with this culture. If you hear things like "we must say things in a way that will be received" we have just heard the voice of apostasy. Its all around us, even in "Christian" families there will be division because there are those who love their false preachers and will not look at truth if it upsets their gods from their towers.

Authentic Salvation or Pretense?
Those who go on and on the most about how their sins were not so bad are those who have never come to terms with their sinfulness.
They cannot possibly understand salvation through Jesus Christ if they never saw themselves as sinful human beings in need of salvation.
I have known many people like this in my lifetime. They were far too judgmental of the failures of others because they see themselves as superior to those who "didn't measure up."
Those who have never been broken over their own sinfulness cannot be born again. Self righteousness is when a person will not admit they are as bad as everyone else.
Romans 3:23
"23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Romans 3:9-10 "9 What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one. 11 There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God."
Even the sins we see as tiny sins, a little gossip, taking a pen that didn't belong to us or even just looking down our nose at others is enough to keep a person out of heaven and thrown into hell.
Our God is the God of perfection, He cannot have in His presence any sin at all, not even those that we think are little. It isn't really about the sin itself as much as our sinful nature. Even the smallest sin is proof that we have a sinful nature. If our nature were not sinful we could not commit even the smallest of sin.
There is sin in the heart that may not even become an action that God counts against us as sin.
God says in His commandments that if we even so much as lust in our minds after someone we have committed the sin of adultery. If we hate someone we have committed the sin of murder. Every sin that is committed on the outside has its beginning and root in the heart before it is acted out.
Matthew 5:27-30
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’;
28 but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell."
It is the sinful nature that keeps people out of heaven and thrown into hell. When we confess to God that we have a sinful nature and are not able to be anything else, we can ask Him to change our nature so that we no longer operate in a lifestyle according to that sinful nature.
2 Corinthians 5:17
"17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
When Christ makes us a new creation He comes to live in us. We no longer live continually according to the old nature. We battle that fleshly nature but our spirit is born again brand new. Christ in us begins the cleansing of our soul as He places lessons in our path to bring us into right thinking.
A born again believer should be growing in holiness all the time, not because they are trying so hard to be good but because Christ in them is leading them into change all the time. If someone hasn't changed in many years, remaining rebellious and justifying their sin then it is possible they have never been born again. Rather than trying to get them to understand pray for their soul that God would place in their path things that will cause them to see their need for Him.
Many of the people who remain rebellious know the Bible very well, they say many right things and make many right choices and are very proud about how much they think they know.
Matthew 7:21-23
"21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"
Those who remain in pride thinking they are superior to others often believe they are saved and going to heaven, and yet they may not be after all.
They cannot possibly understand salvation through Jesus Christ if they never saw themselves as sinful human beings in need of salvation.
