Empowered by the Holy Spirit to Obey God

To any born-again believer who feels less than capable of sharing the gospel.
Exodus 4:10-13—And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou has spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue."
Jeremiah had misgivings about being used by God.
""Ah, Sovereign Lord, I do not know how to speak; I am only a child." God answered, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you ..."
Jeremiah 20:8-9 "8 For whenever I speak, I cry out; I proclaim violence and destruction. For the word of the LORD has become to me a reproach and derision all day long. 9 If I say, “I will not mention Him or speak any more in His name,” His message becomes a fire burning in my heart, shut up in my bones, and I become weary of holding it in, and I cannot prevail."
Jeremiah 1:6-7 "6“Ah, Lord GOD,” I said, “I surely do not know how to speak, for I am only a child!” 7 But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak.…"
God most often uses people who are not talented to show that it was HIM that empowered those who speak the gospel message. God does not want prideful people who think they are special, He wants people who are willing to be used of Him so that they and others know it is God Who does the work in us and not ourselves.
God is the One Who equips those He calls, no one is able to be used of God by their own studies or merits, we must all seek Him to empower us then He will get the glory. AND, yes every single born-again believer has this power to do what God wants them to do.
Philippians 4:13
"13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
We are not empowered to do our own will for our own glory, we are empowered to do what God tells us to do, if we obey we will have what we need when we need it. Hallelujah!

Crisis Reveals Character

Crisis reveals character, this is the reason the Lord sends us trials so that we can see what is really on the inside of us. When we see a flaw as we react badly to a challenge it is the time to confess the sin or weakness to obtain strength from Christ to change.
Those who refuse to admit their emergent nasty reactions will not grow until they do. In fact, the longer a person resists admitting flaws the more hardened their heart becomes.
Often people will claim good things about themselves or even believe good things about themself but the reactions that emerge during a crisis will prove what their true character is really like.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
If someone blows up in anger as the first response to a challenge it is evidence that they have had anger festering inside all the time. Someone who does not have an angry character does not blow up no matter what is happening to them.
Think about it!

Confession is the Key to Spiritual Growth

To grow in holiness we must be aware all the time of our own failings and confess them to be cleansed by Christ. Without confession of sins and flaws, there is no Spiritual growth.
1 John 1:9
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 Peter 2:1-8 "Therefore, rid yourselves of all ]malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and ]envy and all slander, 2 and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, 3 if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord."
As Living Stones
"4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 For this is contained in Scripture:"
“Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone,
And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
7"This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers,"
“A stone which the builders rejected,
This became the chief cornerstone,”
8 and,
“A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;
"for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this, they were also appointed."

Sealed with the Holy Spirit as the Guarantee of Our Inheritance

When we are sealed with the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation we can never walk away from Christ.
Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise, 14 who is a first installment (guarantee) of our inheritance, in regard to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory."
No one who is authentically born again ever walks away from Christ. Those who appear to do so were never born again, they are pretenders in need of salvation for the first time.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"
Pretenders look so much like authentic believers that sometimes we cannot see that they are pretenders except for the fruit of the Spirit which God told us would be evident to us. If they lack it we will know, if they have the fruit we will know that also.
Matthew 7:15-20
You Will Know Them by Their Fruit
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them."
What is the fruit of the Spirit? The fruit is the character qualities of the Holy Spirit, they are not works but do produce good works.
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.

Laws are for the Lawless

1 Timothy 1:8-10 "…8 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately. 9 We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching…"
Good people who are controlled by Christ do not need laws, the Law Giver lives inside of them. These people have a desire to do what is right. The very nature of the Christian who obeys Christ is bent toward righteousness.
Laws are for those who will only restrain themselves under threat of punishment. The lawless people are bent toward disobedience, they love their own desires and hate righteousness.
John 14:15 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"

Using Pagan Sources is Forbidden by God

Why I am so agitated at the teaching of Nephelim being the product of devils mating with humans is not only because it is false but also because it is blasphemous.
To assign the ability of devils to impregnate human women the same way God did with Mary is to elevate the devils to the level of gods, making the devils as powerful as God.
Devils have no human seed, they don't even have angel seed to be able to procreate with one another.
Only God the Father has the ability to come over a human woman and make her pregnant, it was a miracle only God could do.
Mark 12:24-25 "…24 Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven."
God also said that each species mates with only its own kind. Spirit beings cannot mate with human flesh.
1 Corinthians 15:38-40 "…38 But God gives it a body as He has designed, and to each kind of seed, He gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another, and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But the splendor of the heavenly bodies is of one degree, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is of another.…"
All the arguments concerning the Nephelim as being the product of relations between devils and humans come from the blasphemous book of Enoch.
There are many false teachings in that book, even blasphemous teachings that fly against the Word of God.
Satan is busy confusing people with false teachings, sadly many of which are becoming popular in gatherings today. It makes sense that in these last days of deception these false teachings would be entering the churches and seminaries.
We need to be very discerning and vigilent to know the Word of God, evaluating closely everything teachers say today.
Just some thoughts and warnings to reject listening to those who use pagan books to add to the Bible.
When God said in the Bible the men of God took the daughters of men He was describing men who were God's men and pagan women who worshiped false gods. It was as simple as that.
When someone uses pagan writings for any level of wisdom to interpret the Bible they run the risk of seriously twisting the Bible.
A good example of language changing over the years to mean something different for different eras are the words "devastated" and "decimated."
In recent years the word "decimated" has been changed to mean destroyed. The original meaning of "decimated" even as recent as one generation ago meant "to reduce by one-tenth." If a city is decimated by a bomb it means that only one-tenth of the city was ruined. This also means that 90% of the city was not ruined.
The meaning of decimate in our generation has been changed to mean destroyed, it is incorrect but is being accepted with the new meaning.
If we were to read writing from a few generations ago the meaning could be misinterpreted to mean destroyed when only one-tenth was ruined.
We cannot take our meanings from archaic pagan manuscripts to interpret the Bible.
Chuck Missler was one who used pagan books such as the book of Enoch to interpret the meanings of words in the Bible. This is patently wrong and very misleading.
Matthew 15:9
"In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
When a pagan book such as the book of Enoch teaches blasphemies it should not be used on any level to discern the truths of God. It doesn't matter if it's just about grammar or not, it is not to be sought for any information at all.
Romans 8:7
"For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot."
Matthew 15:8-9
“‘These people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
Be very careful who you listen to for wisdom, make sure they are not using pagan sources to prove Biblical truth.
