Love Our Enemies: This does not mean they will change because we do what is right, it means we will not become like them if we obey God in this!

God told us to treat our enemies with the love and respect they do not show us.
This means they remain our enemies. Nowhere in the Bible does God say if you love your enemies they will stop acting disrespectfully toward you.
Our goal as believers is to keep ourselves living in the light no matter what others are doing. If we exact revenge or try to school a raging narcissist we are playing their game with them.
Stop trying to teach the narcissist a lesson, remain true to your commitment to obey God, and leave the narcissist to God.
Proverbs 26:4-5
"4 Do not answer a fool according to his foolishness,
Or you will also be like him.
5 Answer a fool as his foolishness deserves,
So that he will not be wise in his own eyes."
Once we have discovered the nature of a rebellious person we can take the appropriate steps to remove ourselves. God never commanded anywhere to keep rebellious people in our lives unless we are married to them, that is another subject for another time.
It is a modern foolish idea that if we treat the scoffer and the narcissist with love that they will like us and then like Jesus. We know this is not true because Jesus Christ and the apostles all lived out the Christ-like life and they never followed anyone around hoping being good enough would influence the evil man.
Kindness to a wicked man is salt in the wound of their sinfulness. They burn with anger when someone is kind to them and even worse if we love them so much we are wiling to speak the truth that might save them from hell.
It is wise to speak the truth once to the narcissist as directed by the Holy Spirit and remove ourselves when they rage in anger and hatred. Hanging around them for more abuse is unbiblical and does nothing but further empower them as they see us cowering under their heavy hand.
Modern psychology sees narcissists as wounded people but they are not wounded, they are angry and refuse to turn to Christ. We all have an excuse humanistically speaking to be bitter and self-exalted in our own minds. There is no one on the earth who has not been harmed by others in some way and there is no one on earth who has not harmed someone. This is never an excuse to become hateful toward someone because someone else was unkind to us.
Why would some people choose Christ to be cleansed and others hang onto their bitterness and anger using the hurts in their life as an excuse to harm others?
We all have a choice, we can treat others better than others treated us or we can treat others the horrid way they treated us, a sort of vengeful balancing of the scale humanistically speaking.
Making ourselves like the wicked person does nothing except to ruin ourselves. It doesn't change the wicked person and it serves only to change us into wickedness ourselves.
The only way to avoid becoming like the narcissist is to demonstrate every day no matter what is done to us, the Christ-like character God wants us to live out. We cannot say it's not possible, oh, yes it is not possible in our own effort, but it is possible through Jesus Christ Who lives in us.
Since all of mankind, meaning every single person, is born wicked and able of great sinfulness. It is only Jesus Christ Who can change a person from a sinner into a saint. It is Christ alone who changes us and when we falter He redirects us through discipline.
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father"
We trusted Christ to take our sins on Himself, let's also trust Him to take care of things as we obey His commandments. We must focus on our obedience and His direction not on the hurt others might attempt to cause us.
I find that the more I focus on Christ the less I feel any sense of hurt or attack. I see the attacks but they bounce off like water from a duck's back, having little or no impact on my emotional or Spiritual well-being.
Hallelujah, Christ is our victory, we don't have to manipulate or cause anything to happen, He's got this life and knows all of it far better than we ever could. Also, don't forget that we will use what we have learned in this boot-camp for ruling with Christ in the Millennium. How exciting is that?!!!!!

5 Signs God is Warning You That Your Mother Can't Be Trusted

The Stinging Scorpions of the Triblaiton

Anyone who is seeing aliens, strange spacecraft and weird manifestations, or even visions of dead people is experiencing the antics of demons.
When we see someone acting irrationally without regard for others we are watching the influence of demonic forces.
In the Garden with Eve, the devil placed in her mind thoughts and ideas to turn her against God, this is happening today regularly as the demons speak lies into the minds of those who have no defenses against them.
I remember back in the seventies the hippie fringe was experimenting with LSD a very dangerous drug that sent people on crazy and wild trips in their minds.
One man saw spiders crawling all over him, biting at him as he attempted feverishly to brush them off there were too many to combat. He felt the bites and felt the crawling, but the spiders were not really there. Others watching him could not see them, only the one who had taken the LSD could see and feel them as though they were real.
This is also why I believe the scorpions are torments of a spiritual nature unseen by those who are not submitted to the antichrist.
I am convinced that in the last days of the tribulation the "stinging scorpions" will be demons tormenting mankind for five months. Demons have the ability to play tricks in our minds making us believe something terrible is happening when those who are not going through do not see it.
Devils have the ability to make us feel pain and to cause illness in those who are possessed by them.
All we need to prove this is the story of Job, God gave the devil permission to torment Job but he could not kill him. Job's experience of illness was beyond anything anyone else has been through.
Those who become born-again during the tribulation will not be tormented by these scorpions, my belief is that they cannot even see them, since they are spiritual illusions in the minds of those who are not saved. They will have physical ailments caused by the demons, the horrid stinging sensation of scorpions, and for many months.
Revelation 7:3
"3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
To read the account of the end-times attack of scorpions that have bodies of horses and faces like men go to Revelation 9. If this does not frighten someone to trust in Christ to be removed in the rapture, I surely don't know what will wake them up.
Revelation 9:5, "They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone."
Revelation 9:4 tells us that the scorpions are only allowed to torment non-believers.
Imagine being stung and tormented for five months without relief?
We see the work of the devil in nearly everything with everyone these days, and yet.....the worst is yet to come.
Those who have not yet trusted in Christ through confessing their sinfulness need to do it soon before Christ takes out His church. Be cleansed by Christ today to become a new creation and avoid the terrible tribulation that is to come soon upon the world.

To Agree is a Command from God

God also commands us to agree, it is a command. The Holy Spirit does not tell two people two different things, He teaches truth to every born-again believer who is seeking Him. If we are all seeking Christ then we will all agree and all be learning. This is not a compromise of the word of God, it's seeking God and all hearing from the Holy Spirit.
Amos 3:3
“Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?
Colossians 2:8
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ."
2 Corinthians 6:16
"What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."
The problem in our culture is that most "cultural Christians" are not seeking God and are dedicated to a humanistic gospel based on man, not God.
If you have a friend who is not interested in the Word but calls themselves a Christian then it is time to walk away and pray for them.
If you have a friend who is angry at the mention of the word of God then it is not possible for one who diligently follows Christ to be friends with them.
On questionable things, we can ask God and allow others to disagree without arguing or fighting. On man-made rules that God never commanded we are free to ignore them. However, if a brother is offended by a particular thing because of their weak faith, then we can refrain from that thing so as not to be a stumbling block to them. Distractions are many, no need to add what we believe is a minor matter.
If a brother does not eat meat I will not give up meat in my home but when that brother comes to my home for dinner I will not serve meat. The meat would be an unnecessary distraction.
Our goal as a believer is not to make other people do what we do, but to do ourselves what pleases Christ. Christ is pleased when we do not make an issue out of food, or styles of clothing if they are modest.
1 Corinthians 1:10-11
"I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers."

A Discussion about Worship and the One-man-paid pastor system

AuthorGwendolyn Wehage

Frank Jenkins
When nearly every "pastor" who is seen as the leader has been trained in the seminaries where they teach cultural church practices you will find most of them following what they were taught, much of it based on effectiveness more than scripture. And, today the seminaries are teaching acceptance of cultic practices not realizing they are counter to the Word of God.

Also when Paul said; "all Cretans are lazy gluttons he was reflecting what the culture was like. Probably not every single Cretan was lazy and gluttonous, but since most were God warned the people about the culture as a whole.

Generalizations are understood to be just that "generalizations" not all-inclusive.
When we accept the wrong on the basis that "not all are like that" then we are giving a pass to the wrong things in a culture, allowing it to grow only brings more wrong things.

The entire one-man pastor system is against the instruction of God given by Paul in the new testament. Any time a system violates the directions of God it does not matter if it is "working out" which we see has not worked, then the system grows more intensely unbiblical and disobedient.

God gave us the criteria for an elder and that there should be a plurality of leadership, we need not do our own thing, thinking we can do better than God commanded.

Man always wants a leader they can see rather than trusting God, the Holy Spirit they cannot see.

Ed Kassar

Frank Jenkins I think the main point is worship.
How do people actually worship?
"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." (Hebrews 13:15) However with the one man ministry every aspect of true Christian worship is missing.
The hymns are chosen before hand.
The chosen leaders are all who can give praise.
The Holy Spirit is silenced under the thoughts of the leaders.
Yes there are men and women who are gifted, yet those gifts also are given to the members of the Church as well. However gifts need to be applied in the proper place. Women are instructed to be quite in the Church, however children ministry, women's groups and woman Bible studies,... are places they can use those gifts. If not hindered under the clergy laity system as normal.
The Bible and its teaching are for all men and women to understand and walk in the soundness of the Word of GOD, not just a few.
The clergy laity system has destroyed these Godly principles shown in Scripture.

Ed Kassar

Frank Jenkins brother I'm not disagreeing with you about gifted people. Yet I would suggest letting the Holy Spirit do HIS job in the Body of believers.
"But when *he* is come, the Spirit of truth, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but whatsoever he shall hear he shall speak; and he will announce to you what is coming. He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine and shall announce [it] to you. All things that the Father has are mine; on account of this I have said that he receives of mine and shall announce [it] to you."
(John 16:13-15)

Ed Kassar

"And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. Thus because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and am grown rich, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art the wretched and the miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked; I counsel thee to buy of me gold purified by fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white garments, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not be made manifest; and eye-salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see. I rebuke and discipline as many as I love; be zealous therefore and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and am knocking; if any one hear my voice and open the door, I will come in unto him and sup with him, and he with me. He that overcomes, to him will I give to sit with me in my throne; as I also have overcome, and have sat down with my Father in his throne. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.(Rev 3:14-22)
"I am about to spue thee out of my mouth." The way the church makes Jesus feel, Nauseous.
HE stands at the door. What a harrorable state for the church to be in. Jesus is not in it but outside waiting for a open door.
This is why, I'm concerned.

Ed Kassar

Frank Jenkins I highly doubt revival.
Many assume that we are living before the time of the "spanking up" rapture. What we find before the LORDS return is a departure from the truth, and the true Church. Yes religion may flourish as we find that there will be a one world religion upcoming as the antichrist appears. So I can only assume that there will be many false faith appearing in days to come.

Frank Jenkins

Ed Kassar Again that is not the case in all churches!
Hyms and songs of worship all Glorify God and uplift the soul!
Spontaneus Worship is also needed!
There are many spirit filled churches!
But in the case of Women they are according to Apostle Paul are not to Teach or assurp athority over men!
But they are a Blessed in Womens Ministries and Childrens Ministry God always has a place for Spiritual Women!
GODS Church is Still flourishing and I believe Revival is coming!

Frank Jenkins The things you describe are human traditions you were accustomed to, this does not make them alright merely because you like them or they seem right. We must always defer to the Scriptures asking the Holy Spirit to guide our thinking.

Mark 7:13 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”

Many years ago I began praying that God would show me only truth. That He would open my eyes to the humanistic traditions that were in the church so that I would be obedient to Him. It was astounding all the things He revealed to me through His Word and the Holy Spirit that were counter to the teachings of Christ. Anyone who prays for His truth will find themselves counter to the Christian culture of our day.

Frank Jenkins

Ed Kassar I Understand your Concerns but God will Guide each individual that seeks him in the spirit and puts the word of God close to his Heart!
The Church is US. The building is a place to Gather share ,Pray , Hear Gods word and Worship !

It is each Person who must Seek Gods Truth and Give Praise and Worship to God!
The Apostles Admonished Churches and Praised followers in the Church!
We must Not fixate on Organizations as much as Individuals being Deciples of Christ each one being an Example in our Walks and in Churches we attend!
We as Deciples answer to Christ and must Focus on His Message!

The moment we give a pass to one tradition it will lead to a mindset of setting aside God's Word for other traditions that work against God and the gospel.

Frank Jenkins God will never guide a believer to do anything against His own Word. The Holy Spirit is the very essence of His Own Word, He will always lead the believer to do His Will as instructed in the word of God. There is no new revelation for man to draw from, it is all in the Bible and clearly laid out for us to follow.

John 14:15 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever."
John 16:13-14 "13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.…"

The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, when men lead us they are sharing the Word of God as given in the Bible, not their own ideas or methods, but the truth of God's Word. Accepting man's way thinking it can be as good as the Scripture is adding to the Scriptures.

Proverbs 30:6
"Do not add to His words
Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar."
To use our own traditions to worship God is disobedience, it doesn't matter if they appear to work well, if they are disobedience then they are trusting in man not God.
