Forgiveness God's Way

Luke 17:3-4 says, "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive him".

Let's not ignore the words; "if he repents you must forgive him." It is amazing how modern Christianity short cuts God's ways and purposes causing evil and sin to grow. God's way holds out for the proper responses so that total healing and growth can occur.

 
Relationships and friendships can only heal and become stronger when the offender deeply regrets the pain they caused. If there is no regret there is no change and thus the relationship remains broken.

 
If we say "I forgive" before the offender is sorry we are enabling the bad behavior and preventing cleansing, spiritual and emotional growth. We are not helping the offender by "just letting it go." And, we have no reason to trust someone who is offensive when they come back acting friendly hoping they will never be accountable. We know someone who is so prideful they cannot be sorry will not change. After the "sweet cycle" to appear like a good person they will at some point come back again with their old ways because they have not been cleansed by God through confession of their sin.

 
God forgives those who are repentant, and the relationship remains broken for those who will not confess their sin.

 
Let's live God's way so that true cleansing and healing can happen.

Expunge the Frenemies

There is a a pervasive circumstance now, for people to be surrounded by others who have no love for them.

There is a new term now, "frenimies", these are people who are friends but act like enemies. This is just how bad the world is becoming, so many keep friends who are enemies merely to have someone to hang out with. I prefer to be alone than to be surrounded by frenimies.

The world is becoming so evil that it is difficult to find those who are actual friends who love you. Friends who weep with you, laugh with you and desire to be with you. The world had to devise a new term to fit the world we live in, "frenimies."
As born again believers we never have to settle for "frenimies" we can have real friends. They will be few and we will not be with them often because they are so far from where we live often. They are precious to us, they walk with Christ and love us the way Christ loves us.

Expunge the "frenimies" from your life, they will work against Christ and bring chaos and torment continually for no other reason than to watch you squirm.
These "frenemies" have redefined many of the words in the Bible to mean what they wish them to mean.

Forgiveness has been redefined to mean we absolve wicked people of their sin even when they are not sorry so they will like us.

Marriage has been redefined to mean one man and woman at a time. And, between sames genders.

Sin has been redefined to mean anything that makes someone else feel bad about their behavior.

The truth is this:
God said forgiveness is only for those who are repentant and willing to confess their sin.

1 John 1:9
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Marriage is between one man and one woman for life, no one such thing as dissolving a marriage that God made into one.

Mark 10:9 …8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Meaning no man can separate what God joined.

Sin is what God says it is, not what man decides.
John 14:15-16 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
What are God's commandments? Answer: Everything God had written down in His book, the Bible.

1 John 5:3
"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."

When we are born again we have a teachable heart. We love the things of the Lord and desire to be pleasing to Him. John 14:21

"Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

When we see arrogance, resistance to correction and continual contempt for those who speak the truth, this is a very big clue that the person who does this was never born again.

John 16:8 " 8 And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because they do not believe in Me;…"

When a nonbeliever is convicted by the Holy Spirit in someone else their response is to rage and execute revenge.

1 Corinthians 14:24
"But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,"

We are not to call out the unbeliever, but we are to call out the person who claims to be a believer so that they do not come into the body with false doctrine causing unholy division.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 "…12 What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”"

Eyes that have been Opened can never be Closed Again

The Lord has been opening the eyes of my understanding for years about the rejection of Biblical truth in the churches today. It is astounding how leadership and governance have been perverted to equal the pattern of the Catholic Church with a hierarchy God never commanded or intended.

Recently my husband came across an article that described the "priesthood of believers" as written in the Bible showing the great deception of the modern church in their teachings about leaders in the gathering.

Here are some quotes from Cornerstone Magazine that clearly explain how God intended for the church to operate.

"In the Old Testament there was a two class system, the priests who offered the sacrifice and the people who brought the sacrifice. "

"In the New Testament, however, we see a completely different picture in the spiritual life of God’s people, the Church. Instead of the two-class system that existed in Israel, we see no distinction in spiritual worship and service among God’s people. Instead, all believers are entitled to access before the Lord in worship as well as the spiritual privilege to serve." Cornerstone

"What it means to us today is that there is nothing that bars anyone from coming into God’s presence when they come through faith in Christ and His finished work. Additionally, this means that a believer does not have to rely on the work of another person to represent them before God." Cornerstone

When our eyes have been opened to the truth of the modern way of doing church as opposing God's mandate that all believers are priests and all believers have gifts and callings of the Holy Spirit, our eyes can never again unsee this principle.

May those who are seeking Christ stop fearing the hierarchy of men as dictated by men and begin enjoying their freedom in Christ to operate according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah, when Christ sets us free we are free indeed!!!!

Traditions Over Christ

God's hedge of protection has been removed from our country, marriages are destroyed, children are rebellious and the people think it is all normal.

Our churches are so far from the truth they live more for their own pleasure and desired traditions that God never gave, thinking they are doing something good for God.

Matthew 15:3 "Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?"

Mark 7:6-8,13

"He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, These people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me."

We have a form of religion in the Christian churches today but negate God on many things as we follow rituals and holidays God never gave and is not pleased with, they are about self and not about Him.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 "3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
