Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Grace not a License to Sin
Grace is not based on what works but on God's mercy! How can we take so lightly what cost Christ so much.
Do You Want to Fit into the World or Walk with God!
This won't be a popular post but it is the absolute truth. Faith on fire will inevitably offend the stationary. Faithfulness to Christ ALWAYS evokes opposition. The lukewarm/false convert will secretly hate, gossip, call you names, and lie about you, all while sitting in their comfortable, complacent little "cliques". Jesus said that those who are His would be hated for His namesake, so why are so many trying so hard to fit and blend in? Are you looking to please God, or your "friends"? Sadly, MANY will hear the words, "Depart from me. I never knew you" come from the mouth of Jesus. Remember that all who 'profess' Christ do not actually possess the Spirit of Christ. Profession without possession.
Galatians 4:16

Exercise Discernment to be Wise
In order to "come out from among them" we must know their character. Discernment is a gift we must develop through knowledge of God's Word. It is not a virtue to pretend someone is alright because they were friendly to us, its the same as lying.
1 John 4:1
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Anyone who says I try to see the good in everyone is really saying; "I want everyone to like me so I have to ignore any clues something might be wrong." This is not wise nor is it love. When we are wise and loving we face truth in ourselves and in everyone else too.

Ignoring the red flags because you wanna see the good in people will cost you later.
The Test of An Authentic Friend!
This is the truth!!! I have had several "Christians" become angry with me when I speak the Word of God when it doesn't match what they want to believe. Just recently I was blocked by someone pretending to be my friend until she could not control me or influence me to think the way she thinks.
