The Biblical model of church attendance is around the Lord's supper.

A man prays, another man reads from the word, another one asks for a song, all doing it in an orderly but not planned by men fashion. The Holy Spirit leads in this worship time around the Lord's table. Jesus Christ is the entire focus in God's way of worship. There is no human leader in these gatherings, the Holy Spirit leads each man. The women pray, sing and prophesy (expound on the word) too, but only if they are covered. 1 Corinthians 11, allows for participation on the part of the ladies.
1 Timothy 2:12 "But I do not allow a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet."
The men lead, the women do not lead, but they do participate.
The people of the gathering never depend on any man, the depend on the Holy Spirit and Christ is glorified throughout.
The modern model of one man paid pastor who is seen as an authority over the congregation is not Biblical nor is it pleasing to God.
Matthew 20:25-26 "25But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. 26It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,…"
The modern church has attempted to have a hierarchy the way the Catholics did, the way many religions do rather than obey God. Man seems to always think they need more rules and rulers than God commanded.
Because of this false teaching for one-man-paid pastors the people have become lazy, not reading the Word at home, and believing whatever that person preaching says. They do not check out for themselves to see if that leader has told the truth or just having his own opinion.
Also, the model of the first-century preaching in the gathering allows for the men in the congregation to interrupt the preacher with more incite or to correct wrong teaching. God says if one man is speaking and the other one interrupts the one speaking is to stop and allow the new man to speak.
1 Corinthians 14:29-31 "…29 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30 And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop. 31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.…"
When is the last time you saw a congregation operating Biblically? Almost never, would be the answer.
The leaders these days are for the most part arrogant and resistant to correction as well as shunning anyone who would dare to speak while the preacher is speaking, it is not allowed to interrupt for clarification or correction, this is in defiance of the Word of God. God does allow for the entire congregation of men to interrupt as they are led by the Holy Spirit.
Very few congregations understand this model that Christ gave and they don't even want to know. Welcome to the end times apostasy.

Why Don't My Prayers Get Answered? | Dr. David Jeremiah

They Obey the Traditions of Men but not of God

I find it interesting that Christ-mass is not the truth, and yet few argue against it. The gospel is the truth and many argue against it saying "you are judgmental."
When we expose popular practices that have been around for centuries we are fighting the battle against tradition. Christians love their traditions more than they love God.
Mark 7:13 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
When the world loves something we can automatically be suspicious of it no matter what it is.
John 15:18-19 "18 If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. 19 If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world."
Ask the question why so many Christians like Christmas, and the answer is simple. They love the parade of fun they are having. The decorations, the rituals, the gifts, and more. Take away all that and they wouldn't pay any attention to it anymore.
You know how I know this? It's because God commanded the Lord's supper and most Christians ignore it. The churches do it once a month if at all, when God commanded it to be done every time we meet.
The world doesn't even know about the Lord's supper because no one speaks about it, it has no significance in the life of most Christians.
Interesting isn't it! The very thing God commanded in the worship of Him is ignored and the things He never commanded are raised to the level of worship.
Take a little time to pray on this and think critically about it. Too many people have left their minds in superficial mode to embrace the feelings of the holiday God never commanded. Superficial people always think they know better than God because they are driven by their feelings.
Mark 7:9
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."
Isaiah 8:20
"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

Disguised Filthy Words Don't Fool Believers

The use of filthy words with a letter left out or changing the letters slightly does not make it alright to use these words.
If we all know the origin of a changed word then that picture of that original word remains in our heads. It is silly to think that using a filthy word is alright as long as it is change slightly, everyone knows what this person is trying to convey. Its sort of a mentality of "plausible deniability."
Anyone who wants to fool another person with changed letters in filthy words is not an honest person. They want to fit into the world and still be accepted by other Christians, they want both worlds.
Those who change the letters or leave out letters of filthy words are proving their desire to be acceptable to the culture. And, they are telling us what kinds of shows they are watching that have influenced them to enjoy wicked language.
Everything we say influences others!!!!
Just saying!!
Ephesians 4:29
"29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Internet News Hounds Need an Intervention

O.K. all you internet news hounds who search for muck every day to fill your minds with disinformation, do I have to do an intervention?
Addiction to internet gossip and unprovable information is just as destructive as addictions to drugs and alcohol.
Perhaps even more destructive is the internet gossip because people can become clean from drugs and alcohol but when something enters the brain it is there permanently, shaping the way we process information.
Philippians 4:8
"8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is [a]lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
1 Corinthians 2:15-16 "…15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. 16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."
We are not commanded to search out the filth to know it to expose it. We are told to think on the things of the Lord, know His Word and become more like Him. If we do this when evil waltzes in front of us we will know the truth and expose it, but that does not mean that we should go searching for it everywhere we can just to know it. Knowledge for its own sake is Gnosticism and worthless and even destructive.
As believers we ought to be saturating our minds with the Bible, seeking wisdom to be able to live out the life orchestrated by Christ as we love others through the sharing of the gospel and encouraging those who are born-again to walk in His Word.
The things of the world can over shadow the things of God when it becomes entertainment. Why would a born-again believer "enjoy" looking at evil on a daily basis? I cannot understand this, I love to think about Christ and His Word.
1 Corinthians 2:6-16 "6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,
16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ."

I don't worry about food or medical care.

Matthew 6:33-34 "…33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:26 "“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
God has used the medical industry to save my life a number of times. Every time I came out better than before. There are problems in every walk of life, a doctor is not able to humanly know everything about our bodies like God does.
It's why the doctor's clinic is called a "practice" and we must be "patient" because doctors cannot know everything. They try, some are better than others, but overall their skills are good.
I am also not worried about the food because God blesses it. We eat what is available and trust God to allow it to nourish us.
We need to be grateful for what God has given us rather than expecting it to be perfect. When I go to the doctor I expect God to guide that doctor.
When I eat food I expect God to bless the food. When I need a doctor I expect God to guide him/her.
The earth is perishing because of the sin that is on it. We can expect things to get more difficult until the Lord takes us out.
We must turn our attention to the provision of Christ, not people or systems.
When we know the world is perishing we will not be shocked at all that is going on, it should drive us closer to God and more joyful about our homegoing.
Be grateful for what God has given us, He deserves it!!!!
Colossians 4:2
"devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Stay Calm and Carry On!
