Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Cultural Christianity is not Christianity at all!
The lie that America was once a Christian nation cannot be proven by her history. America began accepting all religions, using pagan symbols in the places of government and the name of "God" being used in generic terms fooling some Christians into thinking they were speaking of the same God of the Bible.
There is no strong evidence that America was sold out to Christ in the beginning, just the opposite. The nation was formed to promote freedom of religion, all religions. It was formed to have the freedom from government and to prosper.
God used this nation for sure to spread the gospel and other things but most of the Christians thorough out it's history have been cultural Christians living by their own standards, some based on the Bible, which most Christians did not know.
Christianity was a large part of the culture but it was the rules and regulations that were followed not Christ. As soon as the rules and regulations were relaxed the people reverted quickly to a paganized form of Christianity based on good deeds.
The people of this cultural Christianity left the home churches to help God out by building buildings they began to think of as holy places. Then they began to educate preachers in seminaries that taught umbilical things and elevated those men above all other believers who were led by the Holy Spirit but not recognized as wise because they didn't graduate from those special schools mandated by men.
We cannot call a nation a Christian nation when most of the people were not born again and some were in leadership but compromised much of their faith to do what they thought would help the nation survive.
The only fully Christian nation will be Israel at the end of the tribulation when every person will trust in Christ, the one-third remaining after two-thirds are wiped out, will trust in Christ. And Israel will take the gospel to the rest of the world at that time.
There never has been and never will be any nation that is fully Christian with the exception of Israel during the tribulation.
Sadly America has been referring to itself as a Christian nation while the world watches the filth that comes out of this nation, thinking this is Christianity, the freedom to sin all you want. Every filthy and abominable thing has been disseminated from here to the rest of the world.
Please stop calling this nation Christian or even saying it used to be, it never was even though many Christians, the remnant lived here, there were also many cultural Christians who were never born again. We have given the world a false idea of Who Christ is by our stubbornness and pride.

The Prideful Elevate Self The Humble Elevate Christ
Luke 18:9-14 "Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’
13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’
14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Notice the one who was pias and prideful prayed to himself, he was the god in his own heart. No one who was praying to God would ever exalt themselves because of Who God is and that they are nothing compared to Him.

Speak with Confidence and Boldness
The devil sends people to act like we did something wrong by speaking the truth with conviction. People generally want us to state the truth as though it is only our opinion. When we speak with authority through the Holy Spirit they become intimidated and angry often in my personal experience, and sadly many are Christians.
Ephesians 6:19-20
When we speak the truth of the Bible through the power of the Holy Spirit is it not our own opinion but comes from God, we can speak it with authority as His messenger.
It is disturbing and upsetting to rebellious people when we speak with confidence unmoveable in the truth of the Word of God.
Acts 4:29
"And now, Lord, consider their threats, and enable Your servants to speak Your word with complete boldness,"
Philippians 1:19-20
"because I know that through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, my distress will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death."
We can trust the Holy Spirit to speak through us the right words at the right time. The response of the hearer is on them, we do not bear the responsibility for their reply.
May believers stop trusting in their own devised delivery based on formulas and begin trusting Christ as they know His Word and depend on the Holy Spirit for all things.
Generational Curses is not Biblical
The idea of generational curses is not in the Bible, but the influence of the fathers is visited down to the third and fourth generations until someone breaks the cycle of sin by trusting in Christ.
Ezekiel 18:19-23
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not suffer the punishment for the father’s guilt?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has kept all My statutes and done them, he shall certainly live.
20 The person who sins will die. A son will not suffer the punishment for the father’s guilt, nor will a father suffer the punishment for the son’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself."
21 “But if the wicked person turns from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die.
22 All his offenses which he has committed will not be remembered against him; because of his righteousness which he has practiced, he will live.
23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?"
It is repentance on the part of one person that breaks the cycle of sin within a family. The cycle of sin is not broken by someone just trying to do better, it is broken by trusting in Christ and desiring to be changed into a new creation by Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Notice the passage says; "HE will make our paths straight", not us but Him.
This does not mean that all those who come after the repentant one will automatically become saved. It means that a new influence has been created that will impact future generations, but each person will still have to repent and desire to be changed by Christ.
Ezekiel 18:19-23

End Times Religious Types
Religious types will divide believers with their idea of doctrines that God never wrote. They put unrelated Scriptures together to make up a doctrine of their desire and judge others who do not follow their ideas.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 "2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
Legalists are always petty and performance-based. They distract people from Christ making them obsess over the rules that God never made.
Galatians 6:1-3 "1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.…"
This mentality of Love is not an endorsement of sin, but it is the absence of man-made standards that are not written in God's Word.
Love is when we grieve over those who are sinning, telling them the truth that will help them to admit their sin and forsake it while remaining humble, knowing that we have times of repentance for ourselves.
1 Corinthians 12:25-26
"so that there should be no division in the body, but that its members should have mutual concern for one another. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."
The important lesson here is that we approach those who are sinning in an attitude of love and hope for restoration. Those who approach someone to chastise them over things that are not sin care only about appearing superior and dominating others. These are those who are constantly judging things that don't matter, rules made by men who wish to oppress others.
Romans 16:17-18 " 17 Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery, they deceive the hearts of the naive.…"
We are seeing more division and arrogance in the churches today because many within the gathering have never been born again. Because they remain lost and self-exalted they attempt to make rules God never made that only divide the church and ruin faith.
Matthew 7:15
"Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
2 John 1:10-11
"If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him. / Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds."
1 Timothy 6:3-5
"If anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching, / he is conceited and understands nothing. Instead, he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, abusive talk, evil suspicions, / and constant friction between men of depraved mind who are devoid of the truth. These men regard godliness as a means of gain."
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions."
To keep from being deceived and dominated by those who twist the scriptures, we must know the scriptures well and be led by the Holy Spirit.
In these end times, we will encounter more false believers than authentic ones because we are in the days just like those of Noah, in which everyone does what is right in their own eyes and will not listen to sound doctrine.

What We Think of Christ!
We do not operate according to how people think of us but rather what we think of Christ, according to His Word.
2 Timothy 1:7-8 "7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God."
Romans 8:15
"For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption to sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”"
1 John 4:18
"There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love."
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
2 Timothy 1:7-8 "7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God."
