Are You Corrected For Correcting?

The Scripture is clear that there are many who malign the facts, deny truth, fabricate stories, withhold important information to spin a story the way they want to influence others. Truth and integrity is not very important to these people, feeling good about themselves is paramount.

This is becoming more common among those who have been raised with situational ethics all their lives, they feel free to skew things for the purpose of self elevation. Few teache against this, few correct when they see this happening. Those who do correct are corrected for correcting! LOL

Our mission is to avoid becoming like this through prayer and Scripture study.

Here is what God says about it!

Psalm 5:8
"O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness because of [a]my foes;
Make Your way [b]straight before me."

Psalm 10:7
"His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness."

Psalm 58:3
"His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness."

Psalm 109:2-5
"For they have opened the [a]wicked and deceitful mouth against me;
They have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without cause.
4 In return for my love they act as my accusers; But I am in prayer.
5 Thus they have repaid me evil for good And hatred for my love."

Psalm 140:2
"Who devise evil things in their hearts; They continually stir up wars."

Proverbs 6:13-14
"13 Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet,
Who points with his fingers;
14 Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,
Who spreads strife."

Proverbs 6:18-19
"18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
19 A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers."

Proverbs 12:13
"13 An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips,
But the righteous will escape from trouble."

Proverbs 16:20
"20 He who gives attention to the word will find good,
And blessed is he who trusts in the Lord."

Proverbs 16:27-28
"27 A worthless man digs up evil, While [a]his words are like scorching fire.
28 A perverse man spreads strife, And a slanderer separates intimate friends."

Proverbs 30:14
"14 There is a [a]kind of man whose teeth are like swords And his jaw teeth like knives, To devour the afflicted from the earth And the needy from among men."

Job 15:35
"“They conceive [a]mischief and bring forth iniquity, And their [b]mind prepares deception.”

Jeremiah 18:18
"18 Then they said, “Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah. Surely the law is not going to be lost to the priest, nor counsel to the sage, nor the divine word to the prophet! Come on and let us strike at him with our tongue, and let us give no heed to any of his words.”

Nehemiah 6:8
"8 Then I sent a message to him saying, “Such things as you are saying have not been done, but you are inventing them in your own mind.”

Micah 2:1
"2 Woe to those who scheme iniquity, Who work out evil on their beds!
When morning comes, they do it, For it is in the power of their hands."

Matthew 12:34-35
"34 You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.
35 The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil."

Acts 6:11-13
11 Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”
12 And they stirred up the people, the elders and the scribes, and they came up to him and dragged him away and brought him before the Council.
13 They put forward false witnesses who said, “This man incessantly speaks against this holy place and the Law;"

2 Peter 3:16
"16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction."

They did it to Christ and the apostles and they will do it to us too!
